The location is perfect. The trail guide Roger was fantastic and patient with us walking slower. The Chapel is beautiful and always open. That suited us perfectly for early morning prayers.

The meals were great. The log fires in the evening kept us warm while we enjoyed our dinner . The hotel reminded us of an old country inn with all the modern amenities, which we had been looking for. The owners personally greeted us every morning at breakfast, which showed that they cared about their guests.

The location was remote and peaceful. Loved the stillness with the river running by as well as the pond and bird life. Would have enjoyed staying longer. We enjoyed sitting in the Winter sun on the verandah in the early morning. We also loved lighting a fire in the evening to warm up the chalet. We also appreciated the electric blanket on the bed !
