I loved the town, the cleanliness, the relaxed atmosphere, however it was expensive to buy coffees out and meals etc. But I did know that before I came. I think the hotel would benefit travellers with more information on what they can do. I did my own research on the internet. Also I have friends there.

Favorite spots: Punta has this main advantage: Standard quality year over year. shinning and everclear city. you breath calm everywhere, polite people respecting other as well on beach or transit or just waking on the street.
Eat: mainly fresh sea products and vegetables that i cook.
Avoid : TAXIS
The taxis have a normal fee, but the taxi drivers are disrespecfull , take wrong ways in order to inflate the ticket (and one time restart the trip on the semaphore) better took a web service

Punta del Este is the best of both worlds: an incredible beach next to a stunning and cosmopolitan city. The city is lively and has plenty of exciting activities, from playing golf to shopping in the best stores of the country.
The beaches are amazing and there are different options visitors can choose depending on their likes.
It is really a natural treasure Uruguay has, that together with the excellent maintenance the government gives to it, makes it the most fantastic city in Uruguay!!

The city Punta del Este has no particular charm…surroundings show plenty of villas « hollywood » style : nice to stroll around…Museo Ralli is a must see!
Barra (8kms) and Jose Ignacio (30 kms) worth the visit .
L'Auberge is a classic of Punta del Este. I stayed with my family 10 years ago and the hotel maintained its standards. This time I was alone for a business trip and did not hesitate to chose it again. I stayed in a room in the Tower, small but comfortable. The afternoon waffles are a must, as they were a decade ago. Excellent breakfast and unmatched ambiance. Highly recommended.
The room was spacious and clean with a nice bathroom.
We had a small patio with view on the road which wasn't the best but at least we had a place to eat/drink outside.
The pool was really nice with some facilities outside.
The people were nice and helpful.
There is a small shop in front of the hotel which is perfect should you need anything.
The setting - out in the 'forest' just a bit off the beaten path from the beach - is wonderful. Quiet get away, yet close enough to go into Punta del Este for the day.
The facilities are lovely and the staff is INCREDIBLE. They are friendly and ready to help.

I booked for 11 days and was surprised at how comfortable I felt. I never tired from the great breakfast. The location is excellent. I needed to stay another six days in Punta del Este and immediately booked again. The entire staff were so attentive and kind. Thank you all for everything!
A no frills hotel, clean and pleasant. Staff was nice. Location a definite plus, on the best street of Punta del Este, next door to the best (with the popularity to prove it!) craft beer restaurant in PdE, and a stone's throw to hipster cafés. Fine value.
The hotel is modern, located not far from Punta del Este centre, not close enough to walk, but less than 5 minutes by car. It has a private parking which is very convenient if you are coming by car. The bar where breakfast is served is very nice.
