we come to visit Winston same every 2 month for a business convention and they by far have the best staff anywhere. Even during the rush of checking so many guests in they keep a fresh attitude and a great smile. this crew is like the Chik Fil A of the hotel business. speaking of food what can I say about that INCREDIBLE breakfast and those OMELETTES are just to die for. Im looking forward to our next visit

Most of the staff was very friendly. The maintenance staff was not very helpful. I reported a problem and offered a copy of the ADA standards governing hotel room doors. They were not interested.

DIDN'T HAVE THE BREAKFAST BUT DINNER WAS AWESOME!!!
Welcome to The Spark by Hilton Winston-Salem University! Experience the vibrant energy of The Spark by Hilton Winston-Salem University, your ideal destination for comfort and convenience.
I used to live in Winston-Salem. It has beautiful residential areas and ugly slums. Good restaurants, increasingly bad traffic--Stratford Road has become impossible since Hanes Mall was built. I'm glad the Coliseum area is getting a major investment and improvement. Dropping the "Dixie Classic Fair" name was a big mistake and shows city kowtowing to the woke and DEI members of the community. Winston-Salem has a history to be proud of, one it should be embracing rather than trying to change and rewrite.

There was poor lighting in the rear.
There was poor lighting in the rear. We arrived at night and there was NO lights on rear parking and sidewalk along the back of the hotel. I fell due to not being able to see very well and caught my foot on uneven sidewalk surface!! This is EXTREMELY dangerous. Someone is going to get hurt badly if this is not addressed immediately.

When first arriving we were greeted by the nicest people.
When first arriving we were greeted by the nicest people. The check-in was easy and effortless. We needed a few extra towels and they were given to us with no problems at all. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The only complaint and it isn't really a complaint but more of sharing information with the staff so they can address it is that the while showering the tub would fill up and not drain properly. The breakfast was delicious. Our overall stay was great. We would definitely stay here again if we needed to.

I am pretty picky about my coffee, and the coffee at the hotel was pretty weak, but a Panera Breadstore and a Starbucks were nearby. Otherwise, the stay was perfect. I was in town helping with my son's and daughter-in-law's new baby, and the hotel was great for a five day stay. The staff was friendly & helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and the room was spacious and comfortable. The parking lot was well-lighted and most spaces were close to the front door.

I used to live in Winston Salem, NC and had just relocated to another state six months ago. I love the area and was familiar with the area the hotel was located. I retired from the hospital across the street. I felt safe and the staff at the hotel did not have their doors locked even at 4:30am when I checked out.

It was quiet and I felt safe.
It was quiet and I felt safe. The bed was great but not being to find I’ve anywhere was frustrating because I love ice cold drink! The USBz port was frustrating because I did not bring a wall wart and had to call and have my son bring me one from his house, has been a long time since I’ve saw a hotel without USB ports.
The hotel is in a great location: a 5-10 minute simple walk to the downtown area for dinner/drinks etc. There are few nice coffee shops and restaurants next to the hotel. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is clean and has a really interesting theme/aesthetic linked to it's history. Convenient access to the attractions of Winston-Salem and a relatively short drive to Hanging Rock park and the surrounding countryside.
The stay was terrible. The hotel is is very terrible condition. Its is dirty, the elevator is terrible, I really don't know how authorities et it operate. There were bugs on the room, I do have photos to prove. Is rather like my money back. Terrible.
I didn’t get the room I ask for. Booking. Com stated one thing but when I arrived at the hotel and didn’t get the room accommodations we discuss! Major issues.
