Good value for what we paid for. We just needed an overnight stay to explore Watkins Glen before moving on to Niagara. Location was great as the entrance to the state park is just across the road. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Freshly made coffee in the morning and ice dispenser was a plus. Aircon was already turned on upon arrival.

Watkins glen state Park, Havana glen Park both have amazing scenery and waterfalls. The state park is definitely a two hour plus hike all around and is worth every step. Havana Glen is a very short walk can be done in 30 mins however you are walking right alongside a gorgeous multi level waterfall. The town itself is gorgeous and clean very quaint and boutique like. The harbor front was absolutely stunning with endless views of Seneca Lake and a gorgeous boardwalk to take in all the views.
Highly recommend Lakewood Vineyards when driving along the wine trail. Everything is so close together from the parks to the wineries. Watkins Glen is truly a magical place . Recommend a minimum of two days to explore the main attractions at a leisurely pace

Very nice, clean town. Felt very safe walking at night. Trails at the Glen were very nice walking, very scenic. Make sure to inquire about trail closures though. Gorge trail closes early November but South rim was closed for maintenance this time.

The Gorge trail is something you need to see.
The Gorge trail is something you need to see. You can take all the pictures you want, but it doesn’t portray just how mesmerizing it is. We went early in the morning and hardly anyone was there and we were able to take our time and enjoy it, but by the time we headed back up the gorge, it was crowded.
If you are staying in town, and looking for a good restaurant, Jerlandos Italian restaurant is a great option. Very reasonable prices and the best garlic bread. If you like the old motor courts, then you’ll like Gorgeous View Motel. Very basic room, but clean and has a microwave, fridge and coffee pot in the room. Driveway up to the room is a little sketchy, but you have a nice view of the lake from your porch.
After you visit Watkins Glen, a few miles down the road in Montour Falls is a waterfall right in town. It’s worth making a detour to see it

There are so many wineries!
There are so many wineries! One could spend days just visiting wineries. The town is quaint. Lots of restaurants to choose from. My only disappointment was that i didn't have time to see the falls.

Absolutely spectacular. Biucket list place to visit. We spent all afternoon hiking in the Glen. The waterfalls and trails are beautiful. Get the shuttle pass. Start at the north lot and hike down then use the shuttle to go back up and do the rim trails. Use the shuttle to go back up again. The ice cream at the north lot is excellent. Wear anti slip hiking boots. everything is wet. Try to go on a non race weekend. It was a little crowded and of course not everyone is polite. People can get crazy with their selfie sticks. Defintely wirth a trip. Great little town and jump off point to do the wine trail around Seneca lake.
Cute, comfortable Inn. Huge King bed. Great location about .9 mile to Seneca Lakefront, .5 mile to Watkins Glen State Park. We walked everywhere. Great continental breakfast with coffee, o.j., fresh fruit, toast, mini bagels and croissants and assorted packaged pastries. Great sized refrigerator in the room and a microwave. Fresh towels and housekeeping daily. Really cute chairs and tables outside of each room. Well kept, clean, friendly owners. We would recommend!
A small, delightfully decorated bedroom with everything you might need. Refrigerator, plenty of electrical outlets, glasses, coffee. Table to sit at, couch, tv, electric fireplace. We were able to park right outside our door on the street, even on the busiest week of the year. We walked to breakfast and ice cream after dinner. You can walk to the lake also, a nice restaurant there. Minutes from Watkins Glen State Park and the NASCAR race track.
Very clean room and bathroom. Close location to Watkins Glen and wineries. Very nice staff and quick check-in and check-out process. Some reviewers mentioned that shower is too small, but I think it is good size. Room has a microwave and mini fridge. Beds are comfy. There is a fire pit and propane grill on premise if anyone wants to use them. And view of the lake from hotel is gorgeous.
Our room overlooked the lake and had a balcony which was perfect. Very clean. Good location very close to shops and restaurants, an easy walk. We can recommend an excellent restaurant next door. Loved the fire pits in the garden. Water and soft drinks can be purchased in the hotel. Lots of parking spaces. Very knowledgeable and friendly gardeners and the cleaners were helpful.

The hotel is located close to Watkins Glen town and state park. The is a large terrace as well as a shred playroom. There also many wineries close by. The room was very large, but the whole place is definitely ready for an update. Breakfast was very simple and included fresh fruit and cooked eggs, but bagels and bread were not very fresh.
The location was ideal ... we were in the town specifically to hike at Watkins Glen Park, and we were able to leave our car and walk to the trailhead from the hotel. Also, good grape pie across the street. Friendly staff. The breakfast was packaged danishes and cinnamon buns, but better than nothing, and we were glad to have coffee.
The room we stayed in was recently renovated. Very clean. Nice view of Seneca Lake from the back window/back patio. About a two minute drive from downtown Watkins Glen. The restaurant menu was short but the food was very good and the service was great.
The location in Montour Falls is very convenient for a visit to Watkins Glen State Park, roughly 2 miles north. Across the street from the motel is an entrance to a rail trail hiking/biking path that leads right into the city of Watkins Glen.
The location was great: near the town of Watkins Glen, near the Seneca Wine Trail among other major attractions. The price was reasonable BUT the hotel couldn't charge anymore because it was not safe to drink the water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful views of Seneca Lake. Private chalet with plenty of space for two and stovetop, fridge and microwave. Close to a ton of activities, including Watkins Glen state park and wineries.
The vibe of the hotel was so pleasant, the room was quiet spacious, clean and newly renovated.
Staff were really friendly and welcoming.
