Very friendly and accommodating staff, comfortable, relaxing and conveniently located, and a special opportunity to see D. H. Lawrence's paintings. The lack of breakfast didn't matter at all, as Noula's next door provided a convenient and satisfactory breakfast with excellent coffee.

What isn't there to like about this place; it is incredible! Sadly I was only there for one night but I will be booking this location again should I visit Taos. It it right in the middle of the town for easy walking around, the staff are fantastic and I have never felt so much luxury.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They even mailed us an item that we left behind, to our address in France, on their expense.

The staff is excellent. Room was charming and comfortable. Well, maintained. The breakfast is one of the best we've ever had. They had tamales! The salsa was fresh and tasty. Cookies chips and salsa in the afternoon in the lobby. On site laundry. Taos is easy to get around and they have an excellent public library.

Taos is currently working on their Plaza.
Taos is currently working on their Plaza. I’m looking forward to that project being completed. Around the Plaza the Gorge and the Alley Cantina are both great places to eat and drink. The trip to Rancho de Taos is mandatory. Not only for the beautiful church but for the restaurant in the plaza behind the church. The Ranchos Plaza Grill is fantastic!! Their hours are kinda weird so check before going.

Slightly too touristy for my liking, but with some lovely walks when you drive to them; well worth to go to the Rio GRande gorge walks and also see the bridge and walk across it; Taos pueblo is always worth a visit and to do a tour there; this time we did the enchanted circle drive, very stunnng scenery.
Taos centre is ok for a coffee, but I would avoid it mainly

This was my second visit to this wonderful city, my first was 27 years ago! Last time we went rafting and horseback riding up on the ski slopes, breathtaking. This time we went Hot Air ballooning and it was spectacular and magical. I am a shopper so if you like to shop you've come to the right place. Tons of wonderful shops and galleries. Restaurants were excellent. I had done my research and booked everything in advance. Tons of great places for coffee and a lovely ice cream shop. Several things that were different from last time, Taos now has warmer nights in the summer, no need for fleece at night. Hiking boots really aren't necessary to walk around Taos Plaza. We dined outside once or twice and we were in sleeveless tops with sandals, would have been too cold to do this years ago. This is a lovely town and perfect for a weekend getaway. Oh the drive between Taos and Santa Fe is worth it, just for the breathtaking views.
What was not to live? Although the outside looked as though it needed updating, our room was absolutely adorable ! We loved every unique detail and from what I understand, there aren’t any two rooms alike! The staff at breakfast were so amazing and made us feel like family! The location was perfect within walking distance of everything! This will be our hotel if choice if we visit Taos again.!
The close proximity (Across the street) to the Taos Plaza! The room, the hospitality and the owner (Paco) were fabulous. The historical significance of the Inn itself, gave us much information to our family’s cultural ties and exact location, now in New Mexico. Many festivities and magnificent shops! (Check out the lobby, with one of the oldest wells in Taos still on site!)
I would stay again. The hotel restaurant breakfast and staff were spot on. The room was large enough for three full grown males (three bed room). The location was good. Not in town center, but that was not our destination, we were fly fishing and the Taos Fly Shop was near by as well as a walmart and other stores. Plus plenty of restaurants.
Absolutely fantastic breakfast, great and quiet location and top service. Peggy was an outstanding host, and my wife and I were pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed our stay at the Inn On La Loma. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to visit the beautiful town of Taos or skiing in the nearby Taos Valley.
I had a home in Taos for several years. When I come back for a visit I always stay at Hacienda del Sol and am Never disappointed. The rooms and bed are exceptionally comfortable and well appointed w the charm you'd expect to experience in New Mexico, The breakfast is wonderful and the location is the best.
Head house keeper, Nick was very nice and accommodating! All hotels should have such nice people work for them! We were in room 224 which I believe has the most beautiful view of the mountains! The Taos Valley lodge is an excellent place to stay in Taos because of Nick!
Love the Taos La Fonda Our heater didn’t work when we first arrived which was worrisome. The very nice staff couldn’t get it going and brought us a space heater. The heater did finally start working. That was the only inconvenience in an otherwise great stay.
Large two bedroom-two baths is as good as it gets for value in Taos. Excellent bar and dinner dining in a relaxing setting. Beautiful grounds, hot tub and fitness facility. A bit of a walk into town, ~ 10 minutes. Helpful, friendly staff.
The hot cooked breakfast was delicious and fresh.
The Taos Suite provided the two of us privacy--with one of us sleeping in the living area and the other in the bedroom.
The location adjacent to the Love Apple restaurant was perfect!
the location was perfect for walking into Taos. The staff were friendly in the restaurant and reception and there was live music playing in the bar as well.
we also received an upgrade on our room which was a lovely gesture.
Everything was good here. Spacious and comfortable room, attractive decor with many murals across the property. Plenty of places to sit outdoors, including a large garden. If we ever visit Taos again we ill stay here.
Oh my… the breakfast!!! Best we’ve ever had at a hotel! We enjoyed the fresh, homemade breakfast every morning! The location was great for getting to Taos ski resort. The room was roomy and the beds were comfy!
The room was very spacious. The decor is was so on point New Mexico without being over the top. Best hotel breakfast I’ve had on my trip hands down! i ordered the baked skillet eggs and it was delish!
Location perfection! Authentic to the special feel of Taos. Definitely not "cookie-cutter" space. Friendly staff. Excellent coffee shop in lobby. Great to have parking behind the hotel, too.
Charming small hacienda style hotel in Taos. Walking distance to the Plaza and museums. Morning coffee on the front porch was very nice. Friendly, clean, and comfortable.
The property is centrally located and near by Taos Plaza and all attractions. The hotel looks nice from the outside. It is an ok place to spend the night.
