My husband had double hip surgery. He can walk up stairs but it's hard to then he's in pain. I forgot to mention this when booking. Called them up and the lady was very helpful reserved us a room on bottom floor close to door. Daughter loved the big TAOS out front and the view from outside in parking lot was beautiful.

The facilities were nice, mostly. The rooms were certainly spacious. The hotel had a nice aesthetic minus the pungent odor entering the lobby.

Great Valet staff, particularly Everett Romero. Also, one very good waiter at dinner, Landon. The Spa masseuses were very good too. We enjoyed sitting on the quiet balcony of our room.

The drive up from Santa Fe and the view of the Rio Grande...
The drive up from Santa Fe and the view of the Rio Grande gorge was exquisite. The church of San Francisco de Asis is a beautiful example of Spanish Mission style adobe churches and the people of the community are wonderful, welcoming, and pleasant. Five Star burgers had great food and a good selection of local beers.

The staff is excellent. Room was charming and comfortable. Well, maintained. The breakfast is one of the best we've ever had. They had tamales! The salsa was fresh and tasty. Cookies chips and salsa in the afternoon in the lobby. On site laundry. Taos is easy to get around and they have an excellent public library.

Taos is currently working on their Plaza.
Taos is currently working on their Plaza. I’m looking forward to that project being completed. Around the Plaza the Gorge and the Alley Cantina are both great places to eat and drink. The trip to Rancho de Taos is mandatory. Not only for the beautiful church but for the restaurant in the plaza behind the church. The Ranchos Plaza Grill is fantastic!! Their hours are kinda weird so check before going.

Slightly too touristy for my liking, but with some lovely walks when you drive to them; well worth to go to the Rio GRande gorge walks and also see the bridge and walk across it; Taos pueblo is always worth a visit and to do a tour there; this time we did the enchanted circle drive, very stunnng scenery.
Taos centre is ok for a coffee, but I would avoid it mainly
we absolutely loved our stay!! the property was steeped in history which made the stay extra special - but our hosts were amazing also. Always had great recommendations of activities for the family abs the breakfasts were home made and delicious Such a treat after our basic hotel breakfasts of we’d had before arriving.
also the location is perfect, it is only a five minute walk in to the plaza for shopping, visiting museums and dining.
Taos is a beautiful town with so much to see and do and amazing restaurants.
Super adorable concept - I'm so glad that I found it before I booked a traditional hotel! The campers each had their own personality, and it was an added bonus that they have a fully functioning kitchen inside. I was pretty bummed by limited the opportunities for fun were in Taos (I guess due to COVID? but it really didn't seem to have much even if everything were open), so I went to the grocery store, got some food and drinks, and made a night of it in my camper. What an experience!
We were there during a catastrophe in Taos. The whole city lost electrical power due to damage caused by a roadway contractor. The power was out the entire night we were there and still out when we left in the morning. The hotel was accommodating considering the situation. I like the El Pueblo and intend to stay there again. We expected a discount for this night but the entire charge was refunded.
This inn is definitely one of a kind, all the rooms are individually decorated with antiques and works of art. We stayed in the Santiago room which has a Spanish theme. Although the inn is only a few minutes walk from Taos Plaza it is very quiet and parking on site is easy. Breakfast is only available at weekends but is delicious with a variety of cold items and a hot meal.
The close proximity (Across the street) to the Taos Plaza! The room, the hospitality and the owner (Paco) were fabulous. The historical significance of the Inn itself, gave us much information to our family’s cultural ties and exact location, now in New Mexico. Many festivities and magnificent shops! (Check out the lobby, with one of the oldest wells in Taos still on site!)
Room was large with refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot. Bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was easy to find and very convenient to downtown Taos. There was even a nice outdoor pool, but it was a little too cold to use when we were there.
I absolutely adore this hotel! I won't stay anywhere else in Taos. It's historic and you just don't come across places like this very often. The room is small, but oh so quaint. The gas fire place, the view from the window and the fact that it's adobe, love, love, love.
The Historic Taos Inn never disappoints!
We come every year for our mini getaway! Charming, cozy rooms!
Love walking around town & shopping in the quaint shops and it’s close to the ski hill!
Great restaurant & the staff is wonderful
The front desk reception was wonderful. The rooms were large and clean. The pool was nice and warm. The residents of Taos were very welcoming. The hotel was very close to San Francisco de Asis where we attended Easter Sunday Mass.
The location was excellent for visiting all that Taos has to offer. The size and layout of the rental fit our needs perfectly. Having the facilities of a house vs. an apartment or hotel met our needs exactly.
