The breakfast was very special. The owner's stories about the history of the inn were very enjoyable. We have recommended the inn to friends

Mercer Caverns was fabulous for our whole family, including our 9 and 2 year olds. It was our older daughter’s favorite part of the trip. After the caverns, we had tasty sandwiches for lunch at picnic tables under the canopy of shade trees at Murpheys Pourhouse. The beer was great, and they had good sandwich options for kids and adults. Indigeny Reserve, nestled in the hills, was a beautiful outdoor spot for a picnic, giant Jenga, and the ciders were the best I’ve ever had, good gift shop, too. We enjoyed a casual, delicious dinner at The Armory; our toddler loved climbing the stairs and watching the fountain while we waited on our meal. Columbia State Park was great and a delight, especially for our nine year old.

Great place for the entire family.
Great place for the entire family. Location is right on the heart of Tuolumne County. Rivers, lakes, hiking, off roading, antiques, etc. Whatever you are into it's probably here.
Coffee at Alicia's and lunch at Andy's.

Sonora is an interesting Gold Rush town.
Sonora is an interesting Gold Rush town. Several interesting historical locations. Easy access to Yosemite, Angels Camp. Several excellent dining establishments. We arrived at the beginning of the off-season so a number of museums were closed. The Fire Department Museum was very interesting and the docents were a wealth of information!

The town was not the issue--we could not get a different room because motel was booked and it was too late to try and find another. The room was too small for the amount of furniture--dresser drawers did not pull out easily. I don't believe your agency represented this site well. Back to the town, I wish I had had the time to explore it more.
Rhonda is probably the warmest and kindest host we could have ever met. The house is happily situated at the top of a hill. The room is super comfortable and the house is with details of early 20s. We've encountered 3 cats, all curious or tolerating (with our kid around and poking). The breakfast is superb, and Rhonda's coffee is perfect for the morning. We enjoyed our stay very much. We certainly hope we'd come to Sonora and visit Knowles Inn again soon.
Location to downtown Sonora and farmers market on Saturdays. A driveway to a funeral home runs along the unit. Also, driveway to the unit is very steep, narrow and difficult to use. Can park on the street but cars fly along this road which is busy and I'm not sure where you'd park on the street. Very nice unit and roamy. Kitchen has a nice dual hot plate for cooking but no oven or stove top. Lots of kitchen counter space to work on.
Absolute perfect location for a stay in Sonora. Lots of cute shops and wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Fully equiped kitchen, comfortable furniture and effective A/C. Pillow choices were a plus, (firm and soft) for the queen size bed. Nifty balcony for morning coffee, and an evening glass of wine. Very clear that a lot of thought went into anticipating guest needs. Very much enjoyed our stay.
The bathroom shower was awesome. The staff was friendly in the front office. Had to do a deposit of 100 dollars on our card that is refundable but we used to be able to do this with cash but no longer have that option. My husband and I are currently living in our car and when we do have money to stay somewhere we go to the Country Inn. No other hotel in this area of Jamestown or Sonora is better for your money.
Recently updated inside. New paint, etc. An older historic hotel. Clean and met our three day stay needs well. The desk staff were all nice and helpful. The helped us out on several occasions. The downtown area is there for strolling , shopping, eating and bar hopping. Breakfast was nice, coffee was hot, food acceptable for a classic hotel self serve offering.
Spacious, new and innovatively designed rooms, the location is great, very quiet at night, the room is very clean, ample and free parking, there are excellent places for evening entertainment with that most places to eat close towards 21:00. The hotel serves a good breakfast.
Great room. Rustic, but nice and clean. Good shower and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
People in the office were very pleasant.
Loved that it was on the main highway and easy to get to Jamestown and Sonora.
Very nice breakfast provided by the hotel
Hotel located on the main street in Sonora.
Shops and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel
Manager of the hotel was friendly and helpful
This a motel, not a hotel. The photos cleverly hide this. Paper-thin walls and the cars directly outside your window. Noise all night. As such it is ok but very expensive. Cannot recommend.
The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. The recent renovation is done right. It is the closest to a hotel a strip motel can get. Great design choices.
Location to my annual meeting place, the Sonora Fair Grounds. I am an ex-president of E Clampus Vitus, and we have an annual meeting of ex-presidents in sonora each year in May.
nice central location in Sonora with a good ice machine and a friendly staff. The breakfast is okay, don't have big expectations, but enough to get you going for the day.
Check-in was fine and breakfast was great! I am missing my hat and need to retrieve it from the hotel. I need an email address or a phone number to call.
