We fell in love with Saugatuck. The town is very charming, the architecture is fun, and the neighborhoods are very lush and full of pretty styling and gardens. We loved Oval Beach and hiked Mt Baldy, the restaurants we dined at were fabulous, and the shops were very cute. We ate at both Pumpernickel and Pennyroyal and loved both. We also visited Holland and Douglas, but Saugatuck was the clear winner.

Saugatuck is a tourist town.
Saugatuck is a tourist town. It has a large variety of places to eat, drink and many, many options for ice cream. It seems a perfect place for a slow, relaxing summer vacation. Main attractions are eating, drinking, boating and going to the beach. Otherwise, bring a good book and relax.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Saugatatuck at the Arrowhead Resort. The location was great and was within walking distance to “town”. The walk along the water is very pretty. We liked everything about the area. We were there at a good time (mid May) with very little crowds. According to some of the shop owners it does get quite crowded in the summer time. We will definitely be back!

Quaint, beautifully decorated, historical home, well kept in a perfect location! Breakfast was included and exceptional. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly! Loved everything about it! Already planning our next visit.
Everything was so close and easy to travel to. My husband and I planned to spend 2 days in Holland exploring the tulip fest but chose to spend an entire day near the Maplewood exploring the beautiful neighborhood, waterfront and shops instead. Ideal getaway!

Saugatuck was a last minute decision for my birthday weekend getaway for my husband and me. We had such a fun time for only staying Friday and Saturday. We walked and rented scooters around downtown. The scooter rental is off of Holland St and Blue Star Hwy. Game changer for traveling around downtown and fun! We loved that the town supported the LGBTQ community! It was very evident everywhere you went, it was great to see. We did the Star of Saugatuck sunset cruise which was beautiful! Took a ride on the last hand cranked only old chain ferry which lead us across the river to hike up the 282 steps of Mt. Baldhead park and Oval Beach! Some restaurants downtown needed a reservation weeks in advance like the chophouse but the restaurants and shops we went to were great! We ate at Pumpernickels, Kilwins chocolates, and the Butler. Pumpernickels has live music. May of the restaurants have indoor and outdoor seating options. Kilwins chocolates had the best homemade waffle cones and chocolates! There’s so much music, art, scenery to take in it’s just beautiful! We’ll definitely be back for the Saugatuck Dune Rides, Retro boat rentals, shops, hiking trails on Mt. Baldhead, and restaurants! Our internet signal was very limited on our phones even with WiFi. So have a map handy! So many fun things to do we had a great time! We will be back!
The location is nice. It overlooks the Kalamazoo River and views he downtown waterfront of Saugatuck and is a very short drive to downtown. You can take a short walk to Mt. Baldhead (2-3 minutes) and from there climb 300+ stair steps to the top. From the top you can walk down the sand dune to Oval Beach. Also, you are minutes away from dozens of very good restaurants in Saugatuck or Douglas.
Great location. Right on the lake. It had beautiful views. The place was super clean. The bedding was really comfortable and soft. It had everything we needed. A lot of restaurants and shops nearby. Would highly suggest going to the Saugatuck Dunes State Park! The hike to the Beach is great and once you get there the view is amazing of Lake MI!
We were on a short trip on our motorcycle. The hotel has decent rates, a nice breakfast, and it is located in a safe area. The staff was so helpful. I would recommend it highly. It was clean, modern, conveniently located, quiet, has a nice pool, and a very friendly staff.
The location is great as there is a one dollar shuttle bus that takes you into Saugatuck! The room was spacious and the pool was open until 10 pm which was great! Lina at the front desk was great and had excellent customer service skills and she was very helpful
The location of this charming apartment was fantastic. Located near the center of the Saugatuck shopping and eating district. Lots of options. The apartment itself was nicely appointed and a perfect size for our party of three. we enjoyed our stay!
The location was fantastic for visiting Saugatuck- everywhere in the village was within a few minutes walk. The room was comfortable. We had upstairs to ourselves which was nice as the bathroom was separate from the room. Breakfast was excellent.
such a charming old inn with so much character! Most of the rooms are very small but we got lucky and had a room with a sitting area. Very clean and well maintained, with typical old building quirks. Great location to explore Saugatuck on foot.
Quiet and cozy place to stay. Breakfast was wonderful. We were visiting for the Tulip Festival in nearby Holland. The Belvedere offered a nice central location to visit the festival, oval beach, and Saugatuck
Breakfast was excellent and made with all local ingredients. Delicious and beautifully presented!
Location was perfect as well and walkable to all downtown Saugatuck attractions.
The location is amazing and we loved the rooftop deck with a view of downtown Saugatuck and the River. There was plenty of seating for our four-person group. Loved the fireplace.
