I made a huge mistake on the last review. I did not stay at the cottages. They were overbooked by Expedia. I truly apologize to Roy! He called me asap to confirm that the cottage was already booked.
My review was for “Room in home by Betty.”
Buyer beware!!!! Total scam

To be honest it was a business trip made short with airport delays, missing connection flights and lost luggage. I arrived well after 8pm to be fair to the hotel. I missed the business dinner with half dozen of my colleagues and totally scrambled eggs event. My luggage arrived 6 hours prior my flight departure back home.

My husband and I live an hour away so we go to Sarasota often for quick get-a-ways. We love the city and all the delicious restaurants and interesting places. We go shopping in St.Armands Circle and/or the UTC mall, visit the Mote Aquarium and botanical gardens.

Sarasota has a lot to offer.
Sarasota has a lot to offer. We were on the beach and visiting friends so didn't go into the city except to get to St. Armand's Circle from where we were staying. I'm a native from this area so i know the city well.

Even though we're close to the beach prices are ridiculous for everything. You just have to find the right deals. I have not wondered about Sarasota much in the 6 months being here but I love it. And working on Siesta Key there is a trolley that is free and two or three other transportation businesses that are free that work off tips. So if you're on a budget this really helps out.

Beautiful city that offers a lot of activities.
Beautiful city that offers a lot of activities. We visited Bean Point beach in Anna Maria Island and we loved it! Gorgeous beach! Highly recommended.
We ate at Cha Cha Coconuts, in St. Armand Circle. The server was very friendly and professional and the seafood was delicious.
We stayed at the Kompose Hotel for two nights; a very modern, pretty and clean hotel nearby the airport.
Property was awesome. Definitely very “resort” like which is what we were looking for. Pet friendly. Excellent location. Amazing staff. We had a king balcony with a view of the pool and the water and it felt truly luxurious. Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Sarasota. Oh, and free bike and kayak rentals included in the resort fee. $10 self parking. Amazing park for the kids across the street and a little area to sit in the sand in Adirondack’s and look at the sunset. Overall, an excellent experience.
A gem of a property in a great, quiet neighborhood. Host was great: easy arrival instructions and checked-in with us during our stay. Property is well kept and had 3 nice bedrooms, with 2 baths that have double sinks. Location is close to beaches and downtown, and access is easy as 2 main roads close by. Kitchen area has all you need for cooking and we were greeted with nice snacks! Will stay again on next Sarasota visit.
This is the second time we came to this hotel in 3 months. It's clean, reasonably priced. The staff is friendly, they have all the covid 19 safety measures in place but what we like the most is it is centrally located if you don't know what you want to visit. It's by a huge mall with plenty of restaurants. It's 15 minutes to Siesta Key, Palmetto, Bradenton, and Sarasota so it gives you a lot of options to explore.
Very bad experience, we requested a full refund, roaches everywhere, towels and sheets not clean, dirty with poop on them, we had to check out in 15 min after we walked inside the room, waiting in the parking lot, wit another family that had the same experience? , both families with 5 kids at midnight trying to find another hotel in the area, very bad customer service at the front desk, we have photos and videos
Great staff, very helpful and accommodating. The size of the room was very good and made for a comfortable 7-day stay. The location is great for access to many local beaches, restaurants and attractions. The heated pool area was very nice as well. Bottom line is that I will definitely return here when I come back to the Sarasota area.
The pool was nice and the area around the pool was spacious with many chairs. The bar/restaurant located next to the hotel was good and convenient. The tv in the room was big and had many options to stream different services. It is located in an area near many attractions, stores, and restaurants.
The hotel was new and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was included with hot food.
Culver's restaurant was across the road and had good food very reasonably priced.
The shower was very large and had great water pressure.
Beautiful pool area with beach entry.
Best features were the full hot breakfast selections and the pool/tiki bar area. Even though I didn’t swim, it was nice to come back from dinner and enjoy the music and nice vibe. There are other sitting areas including a grill. The hotel was clean and well maintained.
Hotel located overlooking Sarasota beach we stayed in a beach front room.
Car park available at rear of property.
Hotel is a short walk to St Armands with its restaurants and shops.
Breakfast on the 7th floor was excellent in particular the cooked to order options.
Nice and big, good location with plenty of shops nearby.
Staff were excellent and so friendly.
Pool was clean and warm.
We’ve done a 3 week vacation of Florida and this was our favourite hotel.
Originally booked for 2 nights ended up staying for 6
SUPER NICE STAFF AND WELL THOUGHT OUT HOTEL. VERY COMFY AND QUIET.
EVEN THOUGH NOT IN AN INTERESTING AREA, STILL FELT PERSONABLE AND POOL SPACE WAS FRIENDLY.
Ringling museum very close by.
Great location close to SRQ airport and downtown Sarasota. Nice to have keurig coffee maker in the room, but would be good to offer better coffee choice than maxwell house pod.
very cute, modern boutique hotel! super friendly staff and great location. close to downtown Sarasota. early check in and late check was awesome and very much appreciated.
