Nice little town with shops and restaurants. Good public transport (bus) and tourist info at the historic station. Charles M. Schulz museum was very promising and took me 2+ hours. Russian brewery for beer fans.

I liked the location and price and the garden area and pool area that you offered! I didn’t stay near the garden area but maybe next time! I do plan to come back and stay again! The rooms were clean and the grounds were well maintained! We were both pleasantly surprised when we got there! I would recommend this hotel to others, because the price was affordable and it seemed safe and convenient and comfortable! Our favorite spot was Dillon Beach! Our daughter in law took us there!

We stayed at Hotel E (the renovated historic courthouse) right in the heart of Santa Rosa. Lots of activities within walking distance of a close drive (1/2 hour or less). The hotel was a delightful place to stay. For those not interested in wine tasting, some suggested activities that we did all in 2 1/2 days, 1) Safari West 2) Armstrong Redwood Preserve 3) Occidental (lunch at the Altamont General Store 4) Walk through downtown Sebastopol 5) Visit to the Charles Schultz Museum 6) Lunch (or any meal) at Mo'z right off Court House Square in Santa Rosa 7) Dinner at Ca Bianca 8) A walk around the lake at Spring Lake Regional Park.

Santa Rosa has been called many flattering things all of...

Santa Rosa has been called many flattering things all of them well deserved. You get enough sunshine, enough cool coastal air. And there is a lot to do. Definitely if you’re doing an extended stay a value selves of Olivers market, Pacific market, and even Safeway to save money on food. The best restaurants in Sonoma county are the restaurants based around California Cuisine and local ingredients and those can either get pricey, or have odd opening hours. As far as Safari West is concerned, they are a breeding facility and should be avoided. No true sanctuary breeds big cats or other exotic animals animals in captivity. They’ve also had tragedies there with breeding which is to be expected because exotic animals don’t breed well in captivity as a general rule. There are plenty of exotic animals that need homes breeding. That makes absolutely no sense. So please boycott Safari West. You’re close to the ocean, you’re close to the forest and so much more. Don’t miss an opportunity to travel to this very beautiful city

Well restored old town area, convenient and hassle-free airport, good golf courses, lots of historical attractions (Luther Burbank home and gardens and Charles Shulz museum and ice rink are must sees), lots of shopping at all price levels, lots of restaurant options, and Sonoma State University and Santa Rosa JC are near by.

Dinner at the Bird and the Bottle in Santa Rosa was very good. Looks like they have several good restaurants, we will probably be back. It's a reasonable distance from the South Bay but you feel like you've gotten away. Last time we went to the Luther Burbank gardens which was very pretty and informative.

There was no breakfast, which was disappointing since I didn't know about, but there was only 1 pkt of caffeinated coffee in the room for 2 people. I went to the front desk and asked for more and they would only give me decaf. The clerk said I could go next door to the coffee shop. It really lowers the class of your hotel to not even have in room coffee. The staff are minimally hospitable.

We were stuck in the Redwoods in the historic snow storm that recently hit California. The hotel was gracious enough to have our room cost reversed when the road to get to them through the Redwoods was closed with jack-knifed semi's. My husband had stayed in this hotel last summer and we were looking forward to another stay. Hopefully, in the future!

The hotel is a little on the old side, but renovated. The room was clean and comfortable. Outside area is very nice, with a heated pool and spa. We enjoyed that. There was a live music event when we arrived, and a lot of people coming in and out, but that didn't interrupt the check in.

Conveniently located in downtown Santa Rosa - short drive to wineries and hiking areas nearby. Garage parking is conveniently located onsite and reservation is required ($18/day). Simple breakfast is complimentary. Overall the room and amenities are more like a 3-star hotel.

Breakfast was not included in the price of the room. The parking lot was only partially paved with about half of it dirt and gravel. Not classy like the hotel is supposed to be! I think that a family of elephants were staying in the room directly above ours.

I live in Santa Rosa, and stayed here with a friend. Staff is pleasant, but seems inexperienced, or too casual. It appears all rooms have massive windows, so the 'feel' of the rooms is of spaciousness.
