What a great place to visit! There’s so much history and then so many great places to eat and shop. Bring your walking shoes……the best way to get around! Take the trolley for an informative and fun overview of the city! Don’t miss the fort(Castillo de San Marcos)and consider Fort Matanzas nearby. Flagler (Hotel Ponce de Leon) is a must! It’s an easy city to get around and things are close. Before you go spend some time online exploring. A week here would be fantastic but 3-4 days would work. We only had 2days…….not enough! Can’t wait to go back!

Loved St. Augustine. So much history & so much to do!
Loved St. Augustine. So much history & so much to do! Tours, museums, water sports, great restaurants, all in walking distance to each other. Weekends during peak season a little crazy. As a retired health care worker, I enjoyed the Spanish Military Hospital museum. Also enjoyed the candy factory tour. Of course, the Castillo was great. Dinner at Harry’s was awesome. Trolley tour was nice to get the lay of the land & worked well while it rained. They even passed out decent ponchos. Kilwin’s ice cream hit the spot on the one hot day.

The Trolley Tour was informative and highly recommended to learn about the historic area. The town is very touristy with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. The sunset Schooner Harbor Cruise is very nice for a change of pace. The Old Fort is worth a visit and the Ponce DeLeon property is interesting. The lighthouse is also another thing to take in on your visit. Great places to eat are the Lobster Roll Restaurant, the Columbia Restaurant and the pizza place on historic St. George Street. Visit the Harbor area, Flagler College, the Bridge of Lions, Vilano Beach and the Anastasia retail/lodging main road.
Take some time and really enjoy all that St. Augustine has to offer!

A beautiful city with many interesting sites to visit.
A beautiful city with many interesting sites to visit. If you are a history buff, you will definitely enjoy the historic buildings, museums and the fort. Additionally, every restaurant we visited, many on the beach side, were excellent.

I enjoyed the fort, walking the historic district, eating at Columbia, O’Steens, and other local restaurants. The evening eco tour we booked from the marina was worth it. We also spent a couple of hours at Anastasia Park beach.(only Uber we took-we walked everywhere!)Not crowded at all!

Seeing the Fort at St.
Seeing the Fort at St. Augustine was really interesting and fun. There are some nice shops, and many "touristy" ones. Restaurants were crowded, and we had one great meal and the remainder were average (we had three meals total while visiting). We did not stay long enough to properly see all the different shopping venues and attractions, because honestly after 1-1/2 days, we were tired of the crowds of tourists everywhere, waiting for long periods to get seated in restaurants-or being unable to get reservations at restaurants, and the truly horrible parking situation. There literally is about half the amount of parking space needed, and where available it is ridiculously expensive. We had briefly passed through St. Augustine before, and thought it had a European feel, and were excited to go back with more time to explore, however, upon closer examination, St. Augustine feels more like Disneyland than Europe. Restaurants were largely disappointing as to food and ambience, but with crowds the size of which were there, the restaurants do not have to try too hard. We ate at Fish Camp, which was the one good meal we had, tried to go to the Preservation Kitchen, but it had a 90-minute wait, so went to the affiliated Italian place next door and had a mediocre meal there, as well as a mediocre meal at BlackFly. Favorite spots were the Fort and the Greek Orthodox Shrine. Getting around is not easy--the streets are narrow and overrun with tourists, and there is little available parking and what is available is expensive.
The look of the hotel was lovely, but our expectations were dashed when we encountered the check in staff member. She was extremely unfriendly, wouldn't speak, as we interrupted her dinner, she made us wait while she finished it off. Then begrudgingly walked to behind the counter to check us in. She wouldn't answer any questions and never made eye contact, basically threw us the key cards. Then walked back around, helped herself to a soda from the hotel and sat back down in the guest area to watch tv.
The room was adequate.
Agustin Inn is very conveniently located in Old Town, which makes it a great location for older guests, too, as there is a lot of things to do and see in good walking distance. The staff is super friendly and helpful, everybody goes the extra mile to make your stay great. Rooms are lovely decorated and comfy. Breakfast was fabulous and so was the happy hour in the afternoon. I can only recommend Agustin Inn if you want to make a trip to St. Augustine.
All of the rooms have a view of the ocean. Our room was on the third floor, was a family suite, and had an excellent view of the ocean. The Accomdations were nice, a little dated, but nice and the room was clean. This is a no frills hotel, but if you want a nice room with a view, you can’t go wrong. It is away from the noise of downtown St. Augustine, but close to everything. The beach was very nice with very little crowding, very enjoyable.
the service was amazing. the moment we walked into our room, you can smell the cleanliness. we had booked our stay at a different hotel that was beyond disappointing, This hotel had a cancellation and got us in. Whenever we are in St. Augustine, this is where we will be staying!
the restaurant- DELECTABLE!!
The Bayfront is located within walking distance of the Historic area. They have clean and comfortable rooms, and serve a hot breakfast - almost unheard of in these times. The staff is most friendly and helpful. We have stayed here every year whenever we go to Florida. This place has never disappointed us.
I loved the area! And it's only 10 minutes away from BUSY downtown St Augustine. The hotel backs right up to the beach and there's a nice shopping plaza literally right across the street that has a Publix and several beachy gift shops. Vilano Beach is new favorite place within Florida
A very relaxing stay in a quiet and quaint neighborhood in St. Augustine. The apartment is beautiful, and very much lives up to the photos. If you’re looking for a quiet place away from all the hubbub but close enough to walk to all the downtown attractions, then this is your place!
Location couldn't be any better. Best balcony view on the beach (third floor). Lots of space for two people. Everything was in working order except the overhead microwave, but there was a new replacement on the counter. Decor is without a doubt the most "unique" in St. Augustine.
The room was clean. The location was so close to the historic downtown. It is a quick 5-10 minute walk across the Lions Bridge to St George Street! It isn't a luxury hotel, but the room was clean, safe, in a good location, and had a big TV!
Very modern and clean room facilities with pool and great location. Only 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk from nearby restaurants. St Augustine Beach is a beautiful place to explore, and this hotel was perfectly situated.
The staff was impeccable and the location is primo. If you want to be in the heart of the action in St. Augustine this is a great choice; within walking distance of everything of significance in the historic district.
This is seriously the best value and hotel in St. Augustine. You can walk the Bridge of Lions, leave your car in the parking lot. Easy in and out going the back way to the Amphitheater or beach side.
It was a perfect location to stroll the Historic District and free parking was a bonus. The breakfast was very nice and filling. The Inn Keepers were very professional and personable.
