Adjoining the old-west town of Prescott, AZ.
Adjoining the old-west town of Prescott, AZ. The very busy commercial strip runs toward the old town: restaurants of all types/stores/motel and hotels plus several malls. Beyond the stores and rushing vehicles, the view is memorable.
Prescott[pronouced Presskit] is centered on a town square dominated by Yavapai County Court House [built in 1916]. Charming, w/ beautiful large-spreading trees which visitors from more arid parts of Arizona relish. Craft/antique and gourmet food sales often based here on weekends. Barry Goldwater's family ranch was nearby and "Goldwaters" is still a dept. store on the square.
Unfortunately, during the pandemic, several businesses on the square, including a vintage hotel, have gone out of business. Purchased by new owners. Some made impressive changes, including "The Spice Traveler". Others, not so much... How many pastry/coffee shops does one small town need??

I will hopefully be moving back to prescott valley before winter. I'm from this area mostly and have kids and grandkids there. Every time I visit I stay at Green Tree. I love the king size bedroom. it is perfect for me. I don't know what else to say about Prescott Valley except it is growing.

We had just sold our home in Prescott Valley and stayed overnight after movers packed up and left. We lived in Prescott Valley AZ for 7 years and loved it. Had to leave for lower altitude due to my COPD.
We ended up staying a week in Scottsboro AL at a comfort inn being remodeled for a week and it was fine as well.

We loved our king room on the first floor. The room was bigger than normal hotel rooms. The ceilings were high. Our room had two windows, giving plenty of light during the day. The room had a sofa couch and table to work/eat at. The bed was a Serta mattress that my husband said was comfortable. The hotel is a newer built hotel. The breakfast menu included scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, oatmeal, pastries, bagels and fresh fruit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we’ll be staying here next time we’re in town.
I liked the fast and easy check in, I enjoyed the room, it was clean and the pillows were not the mile high rock hard pillows you see in some hotels, I cannot sleep on those, these were soft but fluffy enough! The best part was the breakfast. Lots of choices, kept tidy and filled by a very nice lady. Waffles, eggs sausage, cereal, yogurt, fruit and breads! Great start to my day.
The staff was friendly and helpful, but the entire place smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke and I had to buy air fresheners to even stay there.
If the entire city wasn't booked up I would have left for another hotel.
they included a nice basic breakfast, very clean room, safe area with a lot of retail, coffee, donut, eatery, movie theater all within walking distant to 1 mile.
