We loved the town of Portage, especially the vintage feel of it. Driving to the hotel we didn't quite expect something so nice. Rooms were great, pillows, bedding, lobby, breakfast.......everything was excellent. I also forgot my charging block, and the hotel staff was nice enough to give me one that they had laying around. I was very appreciative.

The location is perfect if you don't have a vehicle. There are lots of amenities within a very short walking distance. What I enjoyed most about my stay is the staff, everyone that I interacted with was wonderful

Review of hotel:
Breakfast ended too soon - not everyone is there just for business purposes & have to get up at the crack of dawn.
The room doors sound like people are slamming them. Some kind of buffers should be installed.
The stairwells need serious cleaning and/or disinfecting - they smell atrocious.
One of two elevators wasn't working along with the hot tub.
I like the fact that Dino's is attached to the hotel. The room was clean and nice size. They are in the middle of remodeling. The hallways were all a shambles. and dirty. But the room was clean and comfortable. I work out daily, so I liked that they have a weight room. I used it every morning. The staff is nice and polite. All in all I would stay there again. It will be nice once the remodel is complete.
The mattress was great. Most things at breakfast were labeled with ingredients which was very helpful as our granddaughter was with us and she has several allergies. In spite of the allergies, she was able to enjoy a good breakfast. The refrigerator/freezer was awesome. The price was good.
The breakfast was great! I loved that we could get a room to accommodate a family of 5. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was great! The facilities were very nice, and it was wonderful to have nice towels by the pool.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok. It was quiet so I got 2 good night's sleep! The cleanliness was excellent! I was in Portage to attend a funeral and I appreciated the quality and price. Thank you.
