It would have been nice if breakfast was served a little earlier. Or, at least some items put out for us to easily grab on our way out at 6:00am.

The beach and pier looks well kept and a resturant/bait shop was there I only drove by there to look at the beach i would be nice when the weather warms up. There are several fast food places in the area and full service resturants in a 2 mile radius.

People dont' consider this a tourist destination - but the Casa Via Mar is fantastic, and the hotel concierge recommended a restaurant in the marina (Masala Twist) that was delicious. Biking from Santa Barbara to Port Hueneme was beautiful every step of the way. Fresh strawberries bought at the side of the road were delicious.

great to visit the military facility of port hueneme especially a trip to the seabee museum is a must close to the beaches great weather and lots of fresh field vegetables and fruit especially during strawberry season

Visiting our daughter and son-in-law who is stationed in Naval Base Ventura County. Oxnard was sketchy. Visited the Navy base and the Seabee Museum. We would recommend the museum, clean and informative. Also recommend the quick trip the the Missile Museum closer to Point Magu. Many restaurants, mostly fast food types, but had sit down types as well.

Ventura Harbour 15 mins away. Shopping in both harbours. Great bar on beach and small eatery outside. Rutter Room. Walking is a breeze in both harbours. Beaches are clean and easily accessible.

Try Best Breakfast/Lunch on Saviors Rd and just off Pleasant Valley R,
otherwise try the restaurants in Camarillo where there are large shopping outlets stores.
I was a bit skeptical about this hotel because the price was considerably lower than the surrounding competition. Upon arrival I found the hotel met, or exceeded, all expectations. The room was spacious and very clean. The front desk personnel were very nice and efficient. I will return to this hotel any time I'm in the Oxnard / Channel Islands area.
I paid twice for my room and never received my refund. I was told it would be 7 to 12 days. I paid through booking.com, then upon arrival I was asked to pay another $123. The man working at the hotel said he never received the money I paid to booking. Then told me to call you guys which I did, but never got my money back.
The location is convenient for visiting the surroundings. If you're planning to visit LA, it's quite far away.
It's also far from LAX, so the night before our early morning departure, we change hotel and we booked at one near to the airport.

We are cycling along the Pacific Coast highway. This hotel is located on the “route” so it was convenient. Low budget but adequate for a one night stay as we were just passing through town. We walked to dinner at the beach .7 miles away. Mini mart one block from hotel for supplies we needed
