Most people will stick to the shopping malls and the outskirts but you definitely need to go to the downtown area view the incredibly beautiful mansions of the streets and the centers and see the industrial colonial area by the river. There's also quite nice restaurants that are not chains or overpriced nonesense. It's small, but cute. Lots of cool antiques too

Have nothing bad to say. Would have liked to stay longer, but one night was all we could afford. Just shopping for xmas. Could get hotels at a cheaper rate, but we have absolute confidence in the Hampton Inn chain for cleanliness, and nice hot breakfast.

Plattsburgh was great as a stop on our way to Lake George. Our 2 night stay was more than enough to explore the town, hike around "Point Au Roche" trails and take a day trip to Ausable Chasm. There is also a beach but we didn't have time for that although we did see that the beach area was nice.

The place we stayed at Americas best value in was very disappointing the room we booked the shower didn’t work then they gave me and my husband another room and the ceiling was falling apart and are door was hard to close…. We went out to eat one day and come back to experience are door was wide open even though we made sure the door was closed before we left… I would never recommend this place to anyone

The purpose of our trip was to rest before we continued our way to South Jersey. However, we DO love this area and wished we have stayed a bit longer. Plattsburgh is the last big city before entering Canada to the north. It is a city located near Lake Champlain. We recommend this area for anyone who is seeking tranquility.
I called to make sure the pool would be open, they told me 8/17 it will be opening. Booked the room, get there on 8/20 and it is not open. Also the room was not as clean as it should be, shower curtain filthy, towels damp, the fridge was on a metal cart and had a small opening which was for a freezer. Asked if they had an iron to use, there was only one for the entire hotel, but someone broke it the day before. I visit Plattsburgh every month, this hotel is quite disappointing.
I arrived at the place, the receptionist could not locate me even with the confirmation number and email shown. Because the computer was without a system! I had to leave to look for another hotel and didn't even go in. But I believe I was a victim of racism so they didn't let me stay, I lost my money. I don't advise anyone to look for this place to stay.
The room was very clean, comfortable and very quiet. It was a relaxing stay! No TV in the room, but it didn’t matter. We enjoyed sitting on the patio. There is a common area with a full kitchen you can use to prepare your meals. Really beautiful place and super clean! Feels like home. On your drive up watch out for the deer.
Room was very nice with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and tv. Pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower were very convenient. There were several restaurants within walking distance. The hotel breakfast was good and staff very helpful and hardworking. Hotel was a short drive from our destination.
The room was very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub which was also very clean. Great location for shoppers, diners, etc. We would definitely recommend this hotel. The price was very good as well. The staff was very friendly.
The price is really low and reasonable every time I need a hotel I always pick this place it's my to go place I would recommend anybody that's looking for a comfortable place with reasonable rates this is a place to go

we unexpectedly had to stay the night in Plattsburgh with our dog and we’re excited to get a nice clean room that allowed pets on short notice for reasonable price and free breakfast.
Very comfortable and clean with wonderful amenities in the kitchen and bathroom area - especially for the reasonable price. I know when I return to Plattsburgh I will once again stay here.
Loved how clean the hotel was. The rooms were great with microwave, frig, and coffee machine. Beds were comfortable. They brought me up some extra towels immediately after I asked.
I thought the location was good. Especially since I am allergic to feathers and all of the pillows in the hotel were down . I had to go down the street to Walmart and buy pillows.
