Well-appointed rooms. We liked that there was a lot of light, and they were large enough to unpack and have morning coffee at a small table and chairs. The restaurant was lovely to have on-site. Our check-in was a bit rough and the gal that assisted us was not super friendly.

Palo Alto is a cute city with tons of things to do.
Palo Alto is a cute city with tons of things to do. Plenty of food options to eat at, tons of shopping, and events to go to. It is a little bit more on the pricey side but worth the visit. The farmer's market is one of our favorite things to do on Sunday when we visit.

Stanford University was nice.
Stanford University was nice. I spent most of my time in the library, but the architecture was nice.
The city is extremely expensive for food. Restaurants were very pricey, and even groceries were costly.
There is a lot of homelessness and people living in campers. It is not the nightmare that San Francisco is, but it is tragic to see such affluence and poverty side-by-side.

Palo Alto is an affectionately weird mix of California egalitarianism and Silicon Valley Venture Capitalism. I only come to the city for health care at Stanford Medical Center, which is world class, all the way!

It was a good hotel, very comfortable but if you want a meal in the evening or weekend forget it. The hotel does not serve meals during those times. I will go to the Courtyard next time I am in the area.

We needed a place to stay close to Stanford and Coronet Motel was perfect. If we need to return, we will definitely stay there again. We were so pleased with the size of the room which included a breakfast table, sofa, desk and private bedroom. It is not new, but very clean and well kept up.

The Stanford University campus is worth a visit and a guided tour if you can book one. The Baylands nature preserve is a beautiful place to take a walk or just relax. Shopping and eating at the Stanford Shopping Mall with its variety of large and small shops is delightful.
Very well located in the vicinity of Palo Alto/Mountain View, on El Camino main artery. 5 minutes from the 101 highway.
Ducks in a system of ponds, looks almost like a Hawaiian resort. Lots of shady trees, a good American style restaurant for breakfast/lunch/dinner, with a flair for slightly gourmet. Reasonable price, quiet rooms, small issues get fixed immediately.
I stayed at the house for 10 days and it was a great experience. In addition to the house being excellent and well located, the hosts are good people and the community that lives and visits the house is very inspiring. When I return to Palo Alto I will definitely stay there again
The location can't be beat--it's in the center of downtown and not a bad walk to Stanford University. Room prices are more affordable than competing hotels in the area. There is no shortage of great restaurants nearby. And the lobby is beautiful and inviting.
Extremely convenient location in the heart of Palo Alto.
Very comfortable bed in spacious suite. Strong hot shower with full amenities and excellent house keeping.
Would absolutely recommend this property and would look at staying here again next time.
The guy at the front desk was on top everything, from making sure my needs were met, made sure my groceries were delivered to me, always said hello, it makes you want to come back!! My room and bathroom was cleaned. Best hotel so far in Palo Alto!
Basic, clean, large, in perfect location . Simple old family place. We paid 3x as much for a hotel five minutes away and it was smaller and very snobby staff. This hotel is a gem tucked away in the middle of everything nearby!
We come to Palo Alto because my Husband needs care from the VA we stay so that I don't need to drive in the dark. The Zen has been so accommodating to are needs they are our go to place
