This room was very clean, and the lady who checked us in inspected the room before she let us have it. It had a cute mountain vibe, beds were comfortable. They had good coffee in lobby as well as teas and hot chocolate. They also had a gas firepit with smore kits to roast on the fire. And they provided rags and window cleaner to clean car windows.
Also very close to Hot Springs Pools, which we recommend doing, very nice on tired traveling bodies.

The Abram Inn & Suites denied my service animal. I am deaf and have a service dog for my disability which they told my husband no and it's against "their policy." I looked up Colorado law and it's against the law to deny a disability service animal. The weirdest part is they require you to sign a contract stating that you will not be using a service animal at the establishment or else you will be charged $250 penalty fee. I don't know why the owner of the establishment thinks it's OK to discriminate against people with disabilities, but it is NOT okay.

We drove north from Durango on The Million Dollar Highway and stopped in Ouray. We were there for only one night but I would like to have been able to do some hiking nearby. We drove west to Telluride the day after Ouray. If you are interested in high end shopping and more commercialism, it was great, but Ouray is definitely more our type of town!

Beautiful cute town in the mountains with one main street and maybe couple more. There are no big stores, but there are places to shop and a lots of restaurants. There are amazing mountains around where you can go for a walk and hot springs to soak. I definitely recommend visiting the waterfall at Box Cañon Falls Park.

A very unique town nestled in the mountains.
A very unique town nestled in the mountains. You can feel the heritage of a long gone mining town. Beautiful old buildings and very nice people. Harleys and Jeeps are all up and down Main Street. Unless you are going into the mountains to enjoy the great outdoor a day will suffice.
Spectacular mountain scenery, excellent classical music, average restaurants, generally cordial service people. Take a jeep trip with the San Juan group, it's worth every penny. Excellent general store for a small town. Fun to walk and probably excellent hiking. Pleasant climate. Be careful not to hit the deer when driving.

Ouray is following other mountain towns in trying to be like Telluride. Off-roading is what keeps the town going, which is great if you're into it. Some good hikes. Definitely overdoing expectations for tipping. Will only be back for day trips.
I was hesitant to stay at this property, because of the photos of inside the rooms, but for off roading it was the perfect location for us. I typically avoid mom and pop hotels. However, the staff could not have been nicer out more friendly. The rooms were so clean I was impressed. It is not a luxury hotel, but it served its purpose and was clean, quiet and comfortable. And the views from the balcony were incredible. I would recommend this property if you are starting in Ouray, and we will stay here again.
It was easy to pick up the keys at the nearby Twin Peaks hotel, and the apartment was in a good location. We liked the town of Ouray. It was nice to have laundry (paid) right next door and we appreciated that the laundry was on a timer so the washers and dryers would not run past 9pm. The kitchen facilities were fine, although the checklist for the count of items in the kitchen did not match what we actually had. The fireplace was nice.
Great location just off Main. Easy walking distance to other dining options. Softest hotel towels in my opinion, quite absorbent too. Main office for check in and breakfast was well appointed. Good options for breakfast. And we even made it in time for happy hour of wine and cookies while checking in.
This is my second time staying at this hotel. I couldn’t be more thankful for Malory and Cole. They both saved me from missing my flight.
The room overall was cleaned, grabbed breakfast one day, and as a solo traveler felt safe in the hotel. Thanks again for everything:) hope to be back again!!
We stayed in the Inn/hotel and loved it! The staff were over the top friendly and helpful, we loved the ease of checking in and out, and the whole place had a great vibe. It was just enough distance from town to feel a little more isolated but close enough to not feel an ounce of inconvenience.
A delightful, light, spacious, clean and comfortable home from home. An easy riverside walk from Ouray, or just a few minutes drive. We would definitely stay again if we returned to the area, which is, unfortunately, unlikely.
The hotel and staff were excellent, but we like cooler room temps, bed and decor were outstanding. Price of the room was excessive, but we booked at the last minute! We would definitely stay again!
Extensively helpful hosts, especially during the snowstorm
Very cosy rooms and facilities
Hot tub directly at the hotel
Large room for breakfast downstairs
Convenient room for work upstairs
Beautiful place to stay in the lovely town of Ouray.
The lady at reception was lovely. They put on a nice breakfast and also give us some muffins to take with us an our early check out.
Comfortable and well-equipped room with plenty of great shops and restaurants nearby, as well as a choice of hot springs to visit! Very friendly and helpful host!
