Oceanside is a beautiful spot to relax for the weekend, away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. Plenty of restaurants and shopping, gorgeous weather and beaches, pet friendly, 30 minutes from San Diego airport.

We enjoyed our time in Oceanside and plan to go back.
We enjoyed our time in Oceanside and plan to go back. The main drag has so many spots for eating and drinking. We had some amazing meals. Loved the beach area and walking along the boulevard. Very dog friendly. Beautiful sunsets and perfect weather during the day. Just a bit chilly at night. Restaurants we recommend. Local Taphouse. Delicious brunch. The deviled eggs are amazing. Wonderful cocktails. Stone Brewing is also fabulous. Huge outdoor area. Great selection of beers. Yummy food. Need to go back to try more of the beer and food. Enjoyed the beer flight. 4 pours. Great pizza at Allmine. Watching the bubble blowers on the beach was a treat. One of the streets had a fun rock garden.

Oceanside is a great destination if you want to stay by the water. The place is safe and walkable to the Pier and restaurants. Shopping is a few miles away. We also went to an oyster farm in Carlsbad which was nice. I highly recommend Oceanside, we can't wait to stay in the area again.

It just seems to have gotten more touristy, with a lot of people with zero etiquette. Lots of options for sure, many a lot more commercial than last time we were there a couple years ago. We have friends there and have done the bike race there so we'll go back, but it's not on our list for a nice get away weekend or anything.

It is listed as a hotel but in fact is a low key, very low key motel.
Terrible. Everything (except bed) was dirty: sticky floor, old leaking refrigerator, old worn/torn furniture with stains, strong moldy smell.
Shower: dirty, hole in the floor, sink was loose with water draining slowly.
Scary place...
Bathroom toilet bowl was not clean and I asked manager to change my room and he offered me other room and it had same problem. He said he cannot fix it, then he promised to give me discount on my room and he did not apply any discount.
Room AC was working ok but it was not able to make room completely cold.
Breakfast was horrible. It had some cheap great value tea bags. They did not have eggs, bread toasts, muffins and cakes or bagel like other quality inn and other motels provides in addition to waffle, butter, orange juice and coffee.
Came for a wedding at a nearby hotel - location of the Marbella is wonderful, check in and out was smooth. Communication was great - I thought there was an issue (my mistake) and the team were prompt in responding, albeit the mistake would have been rectified a day later which wouldn’t have been ideal).
Regardless, prior requests were taken into account, we have lovey memories of opening the door and seeing the sea in the morning and watching the sunset. Thank you!
Breakfast was a little lacking in variety, waffle making machine was fun, sausages were awful, need better fruit options. We had a queen twin room, great size, pillows could be better. Location is as fabulous as we needed to be close to Camp Pendleton base, was close to Oceanside harbour which was a nice play to visit and eat out. Petrol station next door and parking onsite at hotel. The staff couldn’t do more for us. Would stay again.
When I stay at the Southern California beach club I feel like I've come home. I never want to leave. To me it's perfection. Can't wait till I can come back. Waiting for my favorite two rooms to be available. The location is walking distance to everything There is activity in Oceanside on the Strand 24 hours a day. I enjoy bringing a different friend with me every time , so they can experience the Southern California beach club
I do wish they had more choices on breakfast & dinner options. Our room was lovely, paid extra for west facing ocean view, want to uprade again next stay. Loved the private balconies. Would like to get on the 6th floor next, alot of small children in hotel and running across room was sometimes very disturbing. Overall, a wonderful experience & great weather in February. Love Oceanside.
We LOVE this hotel for our weekend getaways to Oceanside. It’s affordable and comfortable and the location is perfect. We were very late checking into our hotel at our recent stay and had originally paid for the most basic double queen room that we could find since this was such a last minute trip. We did not expect to be upgraded to a suite like room with an amazing ocean view.
Very clean and well maintained. Management was very kind and attentive. It was conveniently located to where I wanted to go in Oceanside and right by a freeway exit. With that in mind, it wouldn't hurt to try and book your room on the E wing of the property, away from traffic noise.
The hotel had a camp ground feel that, but for the location, was more like clamping. The room had a Carmel feel, and was clean and renovated very well. Rating of 9+ was appropriate for the room. With a better location, it would have been a 10.
Great location in South Oceanside near beach, restaurants and bars. . The deposit required was only $50 and the management is very quick to return deposit instead of not picking to find ways to keep deposit as I see at other small hotels.
We loved the view from our room and the rest we were seeking by our stay at the hotel. The room was quiet and clean. One of the reasons for our choice of the room was the high back chair. It was comfortable and provided for our needs.
I liked how cheap the hotel room was and there was a good amount of availability. It is not too far from the ocean so that is a plus, but you are definitely getting what you paid for so keep that in mind
The location is perfect. Lovely views of the Oceanside Pier, the beach and the ocean. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance, other than the ones in the hotel.
I really liked the location of the hotel near the beach and marina. The room was a good size. Free parking was also a nice perk. The staff was very nice and friendly.
