Boothbay Harbor Inn, hotel in Ocean Point

This waterfront Boothbay Harbor hotel is next to the famous footbridge, just a few minutes' walk from the busy downtown area. The seasonal hotel offers free WiFi.

Everything about our stay was a 10+ Could not have asked for nicer staff! The location was excellent for everything you might want to do and foot bridge was 3 minutes away. Sitting at waters edge for cocktails in the evening or sitting around a nice warm fire pit was also another choice!! GREAT PLACE!!! SECOND time visiting!

The view is great, the location is great.

The view is great, the location is great. This is not a “beach” hotel however. We loved sitting by the breakwater, but if your looking for a sandy beach associated with your ocean this isn’t it. I also would not consider this location kid-friendly, just because there isn’t much in terms of entertaining children in my opinion, though that should not speak directly to the Inn itself. It was nice and we would consider coming back.

My favorite thing here was sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the waterfront reading after breakfast/before dinner - so lovely and peaceful! The food was good (breakfast and dinner) and there is a full bar for cocktails. The rooms were airy and light and comfortable - but look at the resort map when you book to make sure you pick what you want - there are lots of options (none bad!) The staff was super friendly - and amazingly, they seemed to have enough people, given it was the end of the season. The walk around the point is pretty and easy. It's also a very easy drive to Boothbay Harbor. All in all, the setting was just beautiful.

The location was amazing- the views exceed expectation.

The location was amazing- the views exceed expectation. The addition of a good, included, breakfast, dinner options and excellent service made this stay a smash hit. Spend the day just walking locally, or drive to places (within a 15 minute drive) with lots more people… My only criticism is not having a microwave in either room- (We liked it so much we stayed an extra day and had to move our room) and additional pillows would help with the hard beds. A true gem.

It needs a good cleaning to get rid of the mold smell.

It needs a good cleaning to get rid of the mold smell. Or all the a.c.;s need to be on before people enter the room, or a good airing out. The dinner at the Inn was wonderful. The included in the price breakfast was good as well. The view was very lovely, however it was raining all the time we were there so we did not go to any of the beaches near by.

I have nothing good to say about this place except the location was great. That being said I would NOT recommend it to anyone, as it was filthy and hasn't been updated since the 1980's. Torn window screens, dead bugs, dirty windows, mirrors and shower, the shower curtain had pink mold on it. The rooms were extremely musty. The food was cold and tasteless and the waitress yelled at another couple after they complained they had waited over an hour for their breakfast.

Customer service needs to be improved.

Customer service needs to be improved. Pool should open earlier!!! Have a to-go buffet for people to take what they want and toast their own items. Waffles were under toasted floppy eggos, and they forgot half the order. Very poor.
