Beautiful neighbourhood and just next to Lake Tahore but with more comfortable weather. Everthing is much cheaper than Lake Tahore. Rooms were huge at attractive price and comfortable with washing machine and dryer.

Great place to stay when visiting the lake. The rooms are really nicely decorated, felt modern and spacious. The outdoor space is the real gem of this place, live music, great beer, outdoor games and fire pits. We loved sitting out by the fire on an evening. Also just a very short walk to the lake itself!

Minden has German heritage and a lot of white people. Many homes have historical markers and it is interesting to go for a walk in the neighborhoods near downtown. There is another nice walk east along Buckeye Road. Carson Valley Swim Center is a very nice indoor facility, good for families. There are several enjoyable restaurants. It could be a good stop for travelers on Highway 395. I go there to visit family.

Be careful when you reserve the room. Carson Valley Casino Inn and Carson Motor Lodge Inn are not the same, they have the same address on website but different location. The Carson Motor Lodge Inn, is old hotel, very smelly, no staff assistant in hotel. Not comfortable. The price for room is not right, too expensive. It looks like you stay in Motel 6 but pay around $180 per night.

There are a couple of good restaurants, but dining is average overall. Minden is close to the state capital, Carson City. There are many historic buildings in both cities. There are outings in the area, to Virginia and Truckee railroad, Virginia City, Genoa, wild horses, hiking, fishing, and hot springs.

Great venue for the car show.
Great venue for the car show. Enjoyed driving around later in the residential neighborhoods. Didn't realize how big an area Minden covered. Didn't enjoy the Casino.....too much cigarette smell.
Wouldn't mind living there in one of the older, tree lined areas.
Restaurants were amazing and very affordable, staff was courteous, professional and very helpful. Location was great for walking around town and only about 30 minutes away from lake tahoe, avoiding the tourist crowds. Casino was fantastic and bakery was tasty! The rooms were very comfortable and house keeping was fantastic. Highly recommend this place. We will be staying again!!
Staff was very kind, free room upgrade so wouldn't have to walk to lodge in the cold. Housekeeping throurough and nice. Clean. Katys was the best! Exceptional food and staff. Spa and pool were clean. Smoking hotel but couldn't smell smoke. Overall exceptional

The forced air heating was relatively quite which is not often the case in such motel style hotels (aka motor lodge)
The hotel just renovated so that I can feel cleanness and new. The location of the hotel is convenient for my trip. They are very pet friendly. We, including my dog, feel comfort to stay. Staffs are also very kind and nice.

The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and the location was good. We planned to visit Lake Tahoe and could reach there in a short time.
The room I reserved was not in the hotel facilities but in an alternate building. next to a gas station. we should have paid more to stay inside the hotel
