For lovers of rock and soul music, it’s a great place to visit. Lots to see and hear. Good bars and restaurants, although food is almost exclusively fried. Peabody hotel with its duck parade is a lovely place to stay, or just visit. Graceland and Sun Studio well worth visiting.

Everyday was a new surprise - botanical gardens with tulips and dogwood at peak, art museum, Elvis' Graceland, walk across the Mississippi River on old train bridge, Lorraine Motel and National Civil Rights Museum, Sun Records Studio, big city shopping with NICE departlment store, Beale Street, South Main Street District, Chucalissa village of Mississipian culture mounds and great trails, rich neighborhoods, poor neighborhoons - and did I mention all the great food (real fried chicken, hush pupplies, fried okra, grits, bar-bq, coconut cake, pecan pie, Mississippi mud pie, and microbreweries to name a few. AND the people of Memphis are very friendly and welcoming.

This is a wonderful city to visit especially if you are interested in the music scene and the beginnings of rock and roll. There are many music related museums to visit, car museums and of course Graceland - which I highly recommend going to- even if you aren’t a huge Elvis fan. The museum is so well done , it’s quite fabulous. We went in a Mojo bus tour which had a musician onboard who was also the tour guide and super knowledgeable. That was great fun, we toured Sun Studio where many great musical talent emerged from.

First trip to Memphis. Came to see Graceland.
First trip to Memphis. Came to see Graceland. Booked hotel online. Probably would not have stayed there if just driving by. Didn’t appear to be best neighborhood. But location was close to Graceland. The staff was wonderful. There was gated parking which kind of scared me thinking I needed it but thankful they had it. Breakfast was wonderful! There is a Mexican restaurant in adjoining parking lot. Very good, again kind of scared me that they used a hand scanner to check for weapons before you go in. Hotel offered shuttle to Graceland which we used , very handy. We did not take in any other attractions in Memphis but loved our tour of Graceland. As far as the city, would probably not go back but showing my age. Too many people, too much traffic, I prefer National Parks and wildlife.

I was just passing thru for a day.
I was just passing thru for a day. The restaurant I was planning on visiting is downtown. I was not aware before arriving that most of downtown closes at 2-3 pm. Made for some changes needed for venturing out in the evening.
It was a very large hotel with lots of charm. The room was perfect for my large family. We have four kids so finding one room that can accommodate all 6 of us will always be at the top of my list! The breakfast was amazing! The staff was very friendly and the guys making the omelets were fantastic! The hotel was in a nice area that was about 20 minutes from down town Memphis.
Staff is super friendly and helpful. Hotel is sparkling clean from top to bottom. Style and decorative flair throughout. The light up "do not disturb signs" and projected room numbers are way cool. My room on the fifth floor had a nice view of downtown Memphis. Great location... steps away from the trolley that will have you on Beale Street in a few minutes.
Everything! Honestly there isn't anything I could complain about, service desk was awesome, valet was awesome, night manager was awesome, cleanliness was fantastic 👏 😀 👍 I say it like that because I unexpectedly stayed one more night in Memphis and went to another hotel and had a terrible experience 😑 🙃 😐 ! I appreciate everyone at downtown Hyatt!!!
ALL The staff were WONDERFUL!!! I can not brag on them enough. I hugged them all. The room was beautiful, the view from the balcony was amazing & the free shuttle service was a life saver for getting to & from the nearby graduation we went there for. Down town Memphis parking is terrible on a good day, so the Free hotel shuttle bus was awesome.
The location was excellent and the gated parking was on point. All though there was no housekeeping service the hotel staff was ready to meet our request for fresh linens on a timely manner. The room was a nice size with a king bed and I loved the over sized chair and ottoman I will use this hotel again when in the Memphis area.
Bright, spacious, modern and airy room. I wasn't expecting the standard to be so high actually so very pleasantly suprised. Offers value for money. Ammenities were excellent. Breakfast while limited was fine. Parking available. Centrally located, it's about a 10 minute walk to the Peabody Hotel, 15 mins to Beale Street.
Everything. Exterior of property is very clean and safe. From check in to check out everyone was polite and friendly. Hotel is very clean and comfortable from entrance to room. The restaurant breakfast buffet and service were good. Great location for the University of Memphis and surrounding Memphis area attractions.
The location is great..close to Beale street and the river and within walking distance of many of the attractions in Memphis
We walked to the Peabody to see the duck march and to Sun studios
There is a multi story car park across the road.
We got an Uber from the hotel to Graceland
Charming home in an historic neighborhood. Comfy beds, plenty of room throughout the house. Convenient location to access to Downtown Memphis, groceries, Graceland, scenic drives. Host was easy to communicate with, always quick to reply to questions. They provided all we needed.
Everything about this place is a treat. Super cool, great decor and very stylish.
Fantastic bar and restaurant.
Lovely, friendly and helpful staff.
Good sized and well designed rooms.
Easy access and plenty of parking. Very safe and secure.
Perfect Memphis hotel.
Room was ready and clean. Hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was really good. It was very busy but they kept up with the refills very well. The bed was very comfortable only thing missing was there was not a bath tub.
We loved the location. The hotel is very near Graceland and it was about a 15 min drive to Beale Street. The hotel have a Mexican restaurant on the front of the building, and the food was great. we had a great time and would definitely would stay again.
We were very satisfied with the hotel, because the rooms are very clean, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast was also good. Besides the hotel is very pretty and comfortable.
Whenever we go back to Memphis I would book that hotel again.
My car was broken into in hotel car park. Prior to parking there the staff advised me that it was safe to park there. After my car was broken into Memphis police advised that cars had been broken into in the exact same location a day earlier.
We amazed for 2 nts and Loved everything about the hotel, room size, cleanliness, big comfy bed, location to graceland and airport,we paid about 15 dollars for an uber to downtown beale street which was fun but keep your wits about you.....
Such a beautiful hotel….we loved the elegant lobby and watching the duck walk. The cafe with complementary coffee in the morning was a nice touch. Within walking distance to all the wonderful downtown Memphis restaurants and nightlife.
The room was awesome! I loved that it had a little kitchenette with a full fridge. The bed was really comfortable. The hotel was also only about 10-15 minutes from downtown Memphis. It was the perfect place to stay on my road trip.
The location and proximity to everything in Downtown Memphis was fantastic and the room was clean and spacious enough to fit four of us comfortably. Great choice of food at breakfast.
Staying in this historic hotel made our stay in Memphis - stunning hotel. The location is excellent. Lovely room.
Liked the separate bar to grab a drink in the morning.
