The staff the young girl at the front desk came up and took care of a problem with the window shade immediately and she brought us towels immediately. And when we checked out she made it easy.

The front receptionist Maria made our stay memorable. Her friendly, welcoming smile, suggestions, and great sense of humor made it all great! We will be staying again! The rooms were spectacular as well!

Disappointed at the lack of details in overall cleanliness remote encrusted with grunge and sticky and the bathroom baseboards and floor needed an overall good cleaning. The rugs needed a deep cleaning. Just generally disgusted as the room rate was expensive compared to the quality of other hotels by in the area. The closest restaurant “Nats” was horrendous steak was grisly and the bartender couldn’t make a martini acceptable after 2 tries. I should have gone to Burger King an bit the bullet.

Need to hire a plow service unacceptable conditions for a major chain . Morgan and Morgan attorneys would have a field day. Never plowed all turned to ice overnight. I am requesting a full refund after falling on ice.

For me the Auto Train was the reason for my stay in Lorton. Holiday Express was the perfect location.
There are many things in the area, but my main focus was travel.
Gentle Dental next door added to my trip, I highly recommend them.

When taking the Auto Train, this is a really convenient place to stay (either before or after the trip). Very close to the station, easy to get to from I-95 or the Beltway.
Accommodations were clean and the bed very comfy! Breakfast included hot pancakes (the machine that makes them is automated; fun to watch them come off the belt)
Staff very friendly!

I grew up just four miles north of Lorton and remember the "olden days" when there was nothing on the present hotel/shopping site but woods. I wanted to visit the Lorton School, across the road from the facility, so this location was perfect. I also visited some remembered places in nearby Occoquan and Alexandria. It was a good location, accessible to my former home area.

What I haven't seen elsewhere is the convenience to the Lorton auto train station. If you're driving from more than 4 or 5 hours from Lorton to catch the auto train and you don't want to be exhausted when you get here, you need to come the day before. The Holiday Inn Express in Lorton is ideally located and gives you all you want an more. Price is not cheap but very reasonable.
Super comfortable queen beds with four pillows each! Loved the comforter: silky and warm but light. Pool was fairly good size although I did not use. Lobby a bit small and I did not have breakfast but room was big, refrigerator was great size (unlike the little cube at my last hotel) and plenty of towels! Never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before but I will certainly look for another next time I travel.
Hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. Hotel was immaculate. Room furnishings and layout of the room was well thought out and worked well for travellers. Bathroom was large. My husband was in love with the shower. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Will not hesitate to use this hotel again when travelling I95.
1) Close to the train station.
2) Good price for the night.
3) Breakfast included and fair food.
4) I will return to this hotel if the price stay the same next year. Because for person on fixed income, and tray to visit relatives once or twice in a year. Every dollars that I save means a lot.
Staff was very friendly. The lobby was well lit and attractive as was the breakfast area. Room was very clean and comfortable. Price was excellent, under $100 for the night. Looks like the hotel was recently renovated.. Looks beautiful. Will stay here again if we have to stop in the area.
4th time here. It is very clean and well run. Pleasant , helpful staff. The complimentary breakfast was good. Lovely dining/ tv area. It is across the street from 2 strip malls. And down the road from Lorton marketplace.
