The room was very basic, we paid for a full oceanfront room which had a nice sized balcony but there were NO chairs to enjoy the balcony! Very disappointing. There were also no chairs in the room. Super odd and made for an uncomfortable stay.

Location, location, location. The river view was spectacular - sunrise over the river on the one day the weather was nice - and the cantilevered windows were PERFECT for the cold breeze and listening to the storms during most of my stay. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops in Red Bank, if you felt like eating off property (the food in the hotel, at Pearl, was excellent - but be prepared for a wait - and wait staff were not particularly good…
Love the restaurants and the pier. We come every year!!

I should want to recommend this highly just for the location alone, but the inadequacies of the hotel relative to the price tier are leaving me somewhat befuddled. Guess they just aren't putting in effort because they know people (including my family) would book at $600/night to be in the location despite poor/indifferent reviews. Room sweltering hot . More than 2 other travelers I spoke to shared that their AC unit was not functional. Elevator down on a busy holiday weekend? Pool heater conveniently not working? (Almost 90 degrees outside and hardly anyone in the pool - Would think they'd prioritize outdoor with rising covid cases presently). Just not what I'd expect at this price tier .

I liked that it was within walking distance or a quick ride to all necessities. The beach was beautiful and right there in front. The only thing that wasn’t right they charged a resort fee for every night and even though I asked about what it entailed they were very evasive or unsure what to tell me and I hate paying for nothing.

Long Branch has a great small boardwalk with excellent restaurants and fun places to be.
I recommend highly Le Avenue for your very nice night out. Beautiful decor, exceptional service and French cuisine. Get the seafood tower and enjoy the beachfront views
We loved the location and beach amenities like the towels, chairs and beach umbrellas, loved that they were easy to get at the beach, loved that we people that stayed at the OP hotel had our own area, we wore our OP hotel wristband. But OP hotel needs to keep an eye on the other people that don’t stay at OP hotel, because I saw them taking OP hotel beach chairs sitting in them and smoking drugs! I DIDN’T like that at all. We loved the tiki bar!!! We loved the restrooms in the main floor.
Beautiful property. Our 3rd B and B this summer and Cedars and Beeches was the best. Esther, the owner, welcomes you to her home which is meticulous. A common living room, foyer and huge porch where you are served a delicious, cooked to order breakfast. You are just about an hour from the beach. A great option when traveling to Long Branch. We will be back.
We love the Wave Resort, it's our go to for a quick overnight getaway from NYC. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished; the location is directly across from the beach and there are tons of restaurants and shops right out the door. There is also a restaurant and coffee shop on the premises if you want to just nestle in. Love this hotel!
The hotel is located in a nice area, close to the beach, restaurants and a good variety of retail. The hotel offers bikes to ride, although we had to take parts from one to repair another. The hotel was very clean. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job, and pay close attention to detail.
The staff were all great but definitely understaffed. One person running the restaurant kind of thing. There were a lot of rules, like we had to get multiple wristbands at different times of day to access areas of the hotel. Otherwise the beach set up was great and the common areas were nice.
The hotel is stunning. From the lobby to the spacious and beautiful room with fireplace it was a great stay. The staff was very helpful and all seemed to be happy to be working there. The location is great. Close to beach and plenty of stores and a local wine bar.
I loved the layout of the hotel. The pool was comfortable and enjoyed the outdoor seating quite a bit and the convenience to the ocean. Enjoyed the tiki bar snd DJ. We will be coming back in August and zI am bringing 4 guests with me.
I really like the staff and owner. They were so friendly and helpful. I especially loved hearing about the history of Long Branch. Our room was big making it a great place to hang out. Staying here has been the highlight of our trip.
This is a classic boutique hotel. By metro NY (NJ) standards, the room was very spacious and well-designed. The sofa and dining chairs were more funky than comfortable but the bed, the shower and the kitchenette were excellent.
The room was a great size, we booked a beachfront room instead we were given a partial view. The salon was closed on the weekdays. This is not a resort it’s a hotel. Drinks by the pool are phenomenal.
Everything about this Hotel was amazing. Our hotel room, beach and location was perfect! We loved it so much that we plan on coming with our family and friends next summer!
