Staff was friendly and room was clean.
I can't say the same for breakfast. The egg muffin tasted rubbery. Packaged Waffles were so sweet. Sausage had no taste. That was only only Sunday morning. Monday morning we just we out for breakfast.

The town itself isn't a place I intended to visit, but if you are looking for a small town alternative to expensive rooms in San Antonio, Lockhart is an option. Simply because of the location on a busy street, I will not be staying again. It was really loud. I did fine with earplugs and Benadryl, but my husband can't handle noise and felt uncomfortable about the surroundings. There were a few sirens. BBQ located next to the hotel is open late and was TERRIFIC for a 10PM bedtime snack. The town is off the beaten path for sight-seeing, but if you are on your way to Austin, it's very close to the 130 tollway that saves you a lot of time in traffic, which is bad on I-35 almost any day of the week.

We went for the Barbeque, heard Lockhart had the best BBQ in the State, possibly the country. Well let me say, we were not disappointed. We had delicious BBQ, Smitty's has the best pork chop I've ever eaten, and Chisholmes baked stuffed potato was to die for. Went to a candy shop that had candy I haven't seen since I was a child, the courthouse is beautiful, we toured an old jailhouse, which the grandchildren loved, picked up some bread and butter pickles from a vendor on the street, and the clock shop has some beautiful antique clocks and items for sale. We definitely will be back.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Copper Cottage! I can’t recommend it enough. It’s the perfect spot for any Austinite looking for a relaxing staycation. Besides the cozy beds and immaculate vibes my favorite part about the home is that you can shop their amazing collection of vintage finds!!! How cool is that?! It’s in a prime location to explore all adorable Lockhart has to offer. I’m already scheming up a girls’ weekend so I can stay here again! :)
Cleanliness and comfort of the bed and pillows. TV was easy to navigate (seem to struggle with that over the past couple of years in hotels for some reason). Internet was solid. We got a room with a jacuzzi and it was perfect after a full day of traveling in a car....and the price was very reasonable. Towels were fluffy
This is our second stay at this hotel in the past 2 years and it was great both times.
This is truly a motel in Lockhart. It was on a main street but the noise level wasn't bad. The manager was kind and there were restaurants within walking distance if we needed to.
