Excellent location. A beautiful covered bridge was a few miles one way from the Inn and Kent State Park with its glorious waterfall was a couple of miles in the other direction. Breakfast was nice with fruit and toast. There was facility to come into the dining room at anytime to make hot drinks. Parking was plentiful. There was an outdoor pool that was understandably closed when we were there as it was out of season.

My husband and I stayed at the Litchfield Inn for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. I was very impressed with the customer service and the many other factors at the inn. Our room was lovely and the bed and linens very comfortable. We had a wonderful view of the front lawn of the inn. The inn was very clean and steps were taken to make sure the guests were following all the Covid recommendations and guidelines. I would definitely stay there again.
Loved our stay, the house had everything we needed for a comfortable family stay across the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom set up.
Very clean and well cared for. Kitchen is equipped with great tools and appliances for cooking. House stayed nice and warm even in frigid temps over the weekend! Also, perfectly located right in the center of adorable Litchfield shopping & restaurants. Also a very easy drive to Mohawk mountain. Can't wait to come back!
Building is a late-20thC vrsion of a typcial New England inn--but without the creaks & squeaks and accumulation of age-old crotchets: Newly remodeled and polished and furnished in excellent taste in a fashionable, up-to-date way. It's NOT in Litchfield proper and this may be a minor inconvenience, though it certainly is accessible. Rooms are super-sized, beds are great, amenities generous. It provides a luxurious, quiet stay.
How refreshing to be able to open windows in a hotel! With such cool, lovely weather, having fresh air at night was wonderful. The hotel pampers you with free snacks throughout the day (water, potato chips, mints, cookies.) The sheets were smoothed with a military precision, and the common areas have a country club air.
The lobby and the back area look beautiful! I don’t know if it was recently redecorated, but it felt like a 5-star hotel. I stayed at the Mayflower a few weeks ago, and honestly, the lobby, front sitting area, and back room actually feel even nicer than there!
Beautiful historic inn. Perfect for relaxation. Quiet and plenty of room for reading and admiring beauty. The scenic Litchfield countryside is a moment away. Phenomenal beds and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was wonderful.
