HomeTown was climate friendly. The heating/cooling was by a micro-split heat pump. All the rooms were shrouded by a huge vestibule sun space. There were no paper or plastic cups. They were glass. All the lights were LED bulbs. The owner burned incense in the lobby - a good break from the meat processing plant in town.

I stayed three consecutive nights at Holiday Inn and Suites, Liberal Kansas, Dakota Dunes SD, and Spencer Iowa.
The location was noisy next to I-29 at Dakota Dunes, SD.
Overall I had very comfortable stays in cleanly, friendly hotels.
This Liberal, Kansas hotel is adjacent to Dorothy’s House Museum, featuring memorabilia from the Wizard of Oz. It has an indoor pool and spacious rooms with a 37-inch flat-screen TV.

Room was clean..definitely needs to be deep cleaned. Sheets were clean and bed was comfortable.

Liberal is not a big tourist attraction. We stayed here because no motels in Hugoton, my hometown, offered pet-friendly motels. We were. on a trip home from Albuquerque for Christmas, and Liberal--actually, Hugoton--was a good stopping place. Because I grew up in this area, I preferred to stay in Hugoton, my hometown, but there were no pet-friendly motels there, so we went to Liberal. I don't know what Liberal offers to tourists.

Great aviation museum and Dorothy's house was excellent with Wizard of Oz movie memorabilia. Cortez museum had little to do with the explorer but nice local items. Helpful visitors center. Brick house BBQ is fantastic. IHOP was overpriced for what you get and waitress/kitchen screwed up my order. Old Chicago restaurant does not serve Chicago-style pizza but is decent.

I come to Liberal fairly often to do my shopping. It has a lot of opportunities that I don't have in my hometown such as Walmart! I ate at Applebee's. I came to shop for a new car but did not find what I was looking for.

I liked that there were places in Liberal I could get...
I liked that there were places in Liberal I could get chocolate milk, and hamburgers. There's also like a Dillon's, and a library. The library was pretty cool, as libraries in the midwest, and the mideast, and the east, universally are.
The breakfast was very good so many choices. Hot food was hot and cold food very cold. Kitchen staff was one lady and she kept everything fresh and was so pleasant if it had not interfered with her work it would have been a pleasure to talk with her.
The front desk staff were delightful David and the young woman apparently training him were EXCEPTIONAL!! We were detained by one of Liberals finest police force over a dim light on our trailer which became laughable. 45 minutes long no ticket. Your staff laughed with us and apologized.
It was clean, Breakfast was very good. the only thing I didn't like was the bed not comfortable and the pillows were horrible. when I laid my head on the pillow it was flat, I tried two pillows but during the nite I kept waking up to puff up the pillows. I was there for a week, not sure I will go back to that Hotel again. I will be coming back to that location in few months and I'm not sure If I will stay there again. I have business there in Liberal in the next two years. There a lot of Hotel/Motels in Liberal.
We were amazed at how spacious the room was, the double sinks made getting ready so much faster, and the beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve ever stayed in. Perfect amount of cosy blankets! And our room was thoroughly clean! It was a nice quiet location, on the very edge of town so there wasn’t a lot of street noise so we enjoyed peaceful sleep. We didn’t go out for supper but there is a cool restaurant right across from the hotel entry that looks like fun!
clean inside the room and outside parking lot. well lighted and cozy feeling. well kept property. rooms small but tidy and clean. a steal at the price but shows where modern hotels are missing the mark. there is a big opportunity at this price point and size of room. LOVED. this room.
Spacious rooms with a corner office desk. I have stayed in other hotels in Liberal but this is the best option of all. Value for money. Clean and comfortable bed. The staff, front desk and owners are very friendly and accommodating. Will stay here again and definitely recommended.
Very quiet so I slept great, room was a little drafty but very clean and the owner was very nice and prompt when I just “showed up” asking about a vacancy ! Definitely my choice of where to stay in Liberal!
No pool has been closed for a year so totally unacceptable that we paid full price when the pools closed and all the things were broken in our hotel room. Not gonna return
