We enjoyed our stay and the staff were terrific. Two things would have made our stay even better: a complimentary continental breakfast and their main restaurant open. It was not open on Sunday or Monday and we could not take advantage since we had made other evening plans for dinner on our other days prior to departure.
Located in Wailuku, 4.7 km from Iao Valley State Park, Howzit Hostels provides accommodation with a garden, private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Great staff and well run, offers more than your average hostel and really good activities run through the day.
Clean and nice communal areas, and good vibes from staff and other clientele.

The hotel is very nice, it has a central pool overlooking the sea.
The rooms are spacious and clean, offering coffee, tea, beach towels, personal care products (soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion).
There is a restaurant right next to it, serving good local dishes, where you get 10% off your bill as hotel guests.
There is a parking lot in front of the hotel entrance, for $10/day (+taxes).
The staff is very nice and keen to accommodate your requests. We were there on our honeymoon and they set up the room very nicely.
The location is very close to the airport, yet is a very curated hotel. Overall a bit expensive, but aligned to the high prices of Maui.

The hotel was on the Kahului Harbor with a lovely sandy beach to walk on. There were a number of sail boarders in the harbor, we did swim but found out later the harbor is full of sharks... This hotel is very close to beach enjoyed by locals with sail boarding, wind surfing etc. etc.
We stayed there due to the proximity to airport and free shuttle, although the shuttle shut down prior to our arrival at 10:00 p.m. so could not take advantage on arrival. Close to mall and a number of places to eat.

We just stayed at the hotel near the airport for one night since we arrived late after a long flight and did not feel like driving. Although it was 11 pm it was 2 am for us. So we only stayed the one night at this location and 10 in Lahaina.

Because of the airport being here, I think, this is where the locals shop. Costco and WalMart are here. Zippy's restaurant is a local favorite and not bad. The Arts and Culture Center near the University is beautiful and had a lovley exhibit in the gallery.
There are a couple of beaches in town that come up on the snorkle report. Otherwise, this town is not a hotspot for tourists so much. The Road to Hana kind of starts here, and the more thrifty shopping is here. Buy gas here. The hospital is here.

Familiar chain stores and fast food nearby if needed.
Familiar chain stores and fast food nearby if needed. We prefer local restaurants, etc, and found ourselves driving to Lahaina and Kaanapali for whale watching, shopping, and other activities. Very convenient to the airport!!

Great weather, but not many good spots to eat.
Great weather, but not many good spots to eat. We found a very nice bed and breakfast - "What a wonderful world" - where the host made us feel very welcomed. The beach was only a few minutes away by car. There was always parking available. Great place to start your daytrips from. A very easy-going environment away from the cookie cutter like expensive resorts.
The Maui Hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. When we needed something they delivered very fast. I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely stay there again. The swimming pool was super clean and the view of the ocean and mountains was great. The hotel is located near many restaurants and shops walking distance.
The host is friendly and helpful. Communication with them is easy. The jeep is comfortable - perfect way to explore Maui! Keep in mind that beside booking the jeep with the tent you also need to think of booking camping spots. Hosts are sending detailed info about comping sites, but some of them must be booked as early as one month before arrival.
This is such a FREE way to experience Maui. You can easily visit the more busy locations, but stay the night on the most beautiful places with green, birds, seaviews and more natural beauty. And on top of that the service by the 'hosts' was exceptional: endless good advising, approachable, supportive, a big 10!!!
We landed in Maui around 10pm so we decided to grab a hotel near the airport before heading to our resort in the morning. This hotel proved to be a great choice. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, and a Starbucks in the lobby. I would definitely recommend.
Lovely little hotel, perfect short stay for an upcoming night flight. We booked here on our last night as we were flying out at 11pm. It was perfect to just chill and relax before heading to the airport late at night. Loved the pool and the hotel vibe!
Sean, CeCe, and Lauren were fabulous in the midst of a catastrophe! They were so accommodating in a serious time of need. We were sleeping in our rented car during the Maui fires, they came to the rescue with the very definition of Aloha!
We added an extra night to our vacation and just needed a room for the night before heading to the airport. Loved that this hotel was six minutes to the airport. The check-in process was fast and staff was very friendly.
We loved the location, the intimate beach and lovely pool. The room was clean and comfortable with a little patio that looked out on to the ocean/Mountain View. And we loved Tante's the restaurant attached to the hotel.
The hotel was very basic. However on checking my bank statement we were charged twice for deposit. First deposit paid on 6/3/33 and the same amount was deducted after we left hotel. I have emailed hotel about thid
