The location was great, the room was huge, the beach and pool area were lovely. We liked the free pool towels and the pool bar.
They had a shuttle service to take you around the resort for free, which was brilliant.

The Islander resort delivered a beautiful beach with great views. Our suite was very updated with design features. The bar service on the beach was wonderful. At night and early in the morning the private patio was a wonderful retreat. There were a lot of local restaurants to choose from, but the bar and restaurant on site were very good as well. We spent one day at Theatre of the Sea. The dolphin show and exhibits were very enjoyable. We will return.

If you don't have plans on the water, there is pretty much nothing to do. You need access to a boat and good weather to enjoy multiple days here. Everything we planned got cancelled because of the wind (snorkeling, kayaking, parasailing). We basically went to the diving museum, watched tv, and went out to eat. Definitely visit Lorelei's or the Morada Bay Cafe for awesome views. Midway cafe is the GOAT, order ahead for even faster service. Don't come here for the beaches, you'll be disappointed.

Islamorado in December was good for kayaking but probably would be a little cool for most water sports. Seems to be more of a fishing area. Good restaurant options. Be prepared for traffic on Highway 1 if you are traveling by car. We had dinner at Lorelei’s, good atmosphere and great service on the beach but food was just average. We also had dinner at Lazy Days. Food was better here but service was not. Had breakfast at Mangrove Mikes. Huge portions, (enough to share) and was very good with even gluten free options. Also had breakfast at F’ing bagels. Great food and service but options were more limited that a regular diner. We kayaked in the mangroves with Keys Kayaks and Jade was a great host. Didn’t see manatees or much wildlife but it was still a great experience. Betsy the lobster is a good photo op.

The resort was wonderful. Very relaxing.
The resort was wonderful. Very relaxing. Especially liked that they texted each day to see if we needed anything. Islamorada was beautiful. We enjoyed all the restaurants we visited. Staff at all of them were very friendly. Only thing we didn’t enjoy was the traffic. It was hard getting out on the main road from the different places. But we would go back

Islamorada is a charming village, with magnificent beaches.
Islamorada is a charming village, with magnificent beaches. Only thing that surprised me is that most restaurants close at 9 pm so it was not easy to eat one evening. But I would have stayed much longer.

Beautiful area with lots of restaurants, a couple of museums...
Beautiful area with lots of restaurants, a couple of museums and some shopping. History of dive museum and Florida Keys History & Discover Center were informative and enjoyable. Theater of the Sea with a Fish and Reptile Tour, Parrot show, Dolphin show and Sea Lion show were enjoyable. Fishing opportunities abound. Offshore and inshore options, many guides and services available to take you fishing. I used Fishing Booker app to find a great guide to hunt for tarpon, permit and bonefish inshore. Many rentals include an area for a boat slip if looking to bring your own boat. Lots of scuba and snorkeling options also available in the area. Plenty of options for hot food and cold drinks for dinner. Check out Bud-n-Mary's and World Wide Sportsman to see the resident tarpon, nurse sharks and manatees.
Loved the view from our room and the sitting area on the porch, pefect to watch the gorgeous sunrises. The pool was refreshing and very clean. The property is so peaceful as there are only 9 rooms. The birds provided daily entertainment and Lazy Days Restaurant is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The kitchen is fully equipped. One night we made steaks on the grill provided by the hotel (there are 3 of them). Bought the steaks from the Trading Post, it's just up the road from the hotel and is open 24 hrs.
We stayed just one night, as an overnight break driving up from Key West. The location is very convenient, directly off the highway. It is more of a small motel than a hotel, but we enjoyed our stay. The outside bar and restaurant have a nice, friendly atmosphere and we had a good meal. We also liked the pool, and being able to walk down to the jetty to view the sunset. We thought the price was good, within the context that we found Florida generally pretty expensive!
The room we rented was clean and comfortable, but the amenities were the best part of this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool (there are two) and private beach. We snorkeled at the beach and underneath the fishing dock where we saw many fish, crabs and lobsters. We also took advantage of one of the boat tours through the hotel where we snorkeled and went to a sandbar. So much fun!
It's like staying in old Florida, a small 9 unit motel on the beach. Our room faced the beach with 2 rockers and a table and a hammock. It looked new inside was clean and very comfortable. The breeze was so nice we had the windows open and the A/C off. 1 assigned parking spot per room, beautiful salt water pool. Sun rises right in front of you and the location can't be beat.
Loved the location of our first floor king bed studio. Right on the beach. Beach full of hammocks chairs and tables to make sunset views exceptional. New beautiful pool. I was actually the first guest ever to go in the pool ... it opened the day we arrived. They provide kayaks (my first time) and bicycles. Looking forward to returning with family and or friends ❤️
Late check in was seamless, with a welcome glass of fizz! Huge comfortable room, nice open air (plus covered) breakfast area and efficient bar serving nice coffee during the mornings. Great location of the hotel on this key, easy to get to next door taco restaurant and craft brewer, plus cross the road for some great restaurants that enjoy awesome sunsets!
Location was good considering there isn't really a center of Islamorada. The room we booked was unavailable so we were fortunate to get an upgrade. I think having a standard room for the money we paid would have been disappointing.
Staff on reception were fantastic, especially Thomas, who was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was an older building but the owners have put a lot of effort into upgrades and such. Our room was very clean, new beds, and tastefully decorated. We were very pleased with the accommodations. It was conveniently located to good restaurants and water activities.
they staff was very helpful and accommodating after a situation with key .. I was expecting something something out dated and cheap but my room was surprisingly nice .. I will Recommend for family vacation stay or couples .. boat ramp too if you have boats
The hotel was in a beautiful part of the keys, very convenient for all local attractions and also not to far of a drive from Key West or Miami, its about the half way point. Some lovely looking accommodation properties and grounds well maintained.
Rooms SUPER COMFY AND CLEAN!! It made me want to spend a lot of my time in the hotel because it was so relaxing! Tubes and kayaks for free!! Hammocks to relax on the beach!! Across the street from Islamorada brewing was awesome!!
The Cheeca Lodge is a beautiful hotel. Everything you could want is there or near by the hotel. We loved the spa pool. We went for an early morning swim before the crowds. The breakfast was a little pricey, but it was delicious.
Wonderful location, very laid back. Nicely laid out grounds. Very friendly staff. Islamorada is the best area to stay in in our opinion. Great to be able to use the kayaks & bikes whenever we wanted
Fantastic place, superb value for money and much better value than all other Keys and Florida hotels. Location is outstanding and amenities excellent. Also nice and quiet and huge rooms.
There is the Islamorada Brewery & Distiller as well as the Lorelei Restaurant & Cabana Bar near the Hotel. Definitely worth a visit! Especially if your on the way to Key West.
This hotel is good choice when traveling to Key West. Free parking, comfortable rooms, swimming pool. Nearby there is traditional bar with good drink and food.
