Indianapolis is a rather quiet city.
Indianapolis is a rather quiet city. It doesn't have the hustle and bustle of a New York or Chicago. However they have a cultural area in the city with many attractions for tourists: museums, a zoo, parks, and a lovely canal on which you can rent a paddle boat or travel on a Venice-like gondola. It's a very sports-oriented city with little emphasis on classical art or music, or modern art for that matter. But I was only in Indianapolis for two days, so I may be missing a lot. I'd say it's worth visiting for a few days.

There wasn't one thing about Indianapolis that was good. The roads were terrible had to have work done on both of my vehicles because of the roads. The whole place is a ghetto. IU hospital is a mash unit except the nursing staff.

The hotel is centrally located in walking distance to Lucas Oil Stadium (football) and the basketball arena. Also numerous quality restaurants in walking distance. Overnight parking at $45 per night was far too expensive. The view from our windows was of an active homeless encampment with participants. A slight wall would have blocked that view from hotel guests. Hotel personnel and staff were very personable and professional. Free Breakfast was good.

The Palladium was beautiful and we saw a great concert. also we enjoyed the German Christmas festival. We ate at "Bar Louie" and it was very good. All of the traffic circles in Carmel are a little tricky but serve the purpose. Traffic signage and street signs are very easy to see and helpful.

Traffic was busy,but moved along efficiently as streets were well marked. Stadium was awesome,as were the Colts! Lol The view from our window looked out over the river,very scenic,well maintained area. We may have explored the area had it not been raining.
the facilities are ok, a reasonable price . breakfast, they should put more variety, a frozen sandwich, donuts, muffins, coffee and juice I think it is little, yogurt and fruit would be very good from my point of view, the beds are very comfortable, shops nearby , close to downtown Indianapolis. I stayed 3 nights at least they made my bed and took out the garbage, it was a family trip in general my stay in this hotel was good and I would stay there again.
The apartment is very well set up, with pretty much anything you'd need for a stay in Indianapolis, including a full kitchen and washing/drying facilities within the room.
The location is about a mile from the main part of downtown but it's a simple walk past some great War Memorials to get there, in an area that feels safe and secure.
Small touches, like the microwave popcorn provided, really sets this apart from a standard room in a traditional hotel.
Very nice place for a budget consideration! Clean, well kept, safe hotel. Plenty of things to do quite close by in Avon, basically a straight line drive to Downtown Indianapolis. Made our beds every night. Friendly management. They took cash for the room deposit which was nice too! I’m glad that the reviews on this site were right.
What I liked about this hotel is, it is centrally located in the downtown area, also it is connected to the mall and surrounded by lots of restaurants. The breakfast that was served was freshly cooked and great. Whenever I go back to Indianapolis the Embassy Suites will always be my choice hotel.

Clean, tidy and a peaceful place to crash in downtown Indianapolis. The host was excellent in terms of communication. ( was there late night to accommodate/ answer quick questions) . The host was also very accommodating with flexible check in and check out times.
Fine place for a quick overnight for trips through the Indianapolis Airport. Right near the main highway with quick on / off. Hotel is perfect for a business trip with a location very near (3-4 miles) from the airport. Would stay again my next visit.

Breakfast wasn't actually present despite saying it should have been. The location was nice with being just outside of downtown Indianapolis with many things nearby.
