We regularly fly into Great Falls to see our daughter who lives a ways south of the city. We've never actually spent time there before and we quite enjoyed it!
There are wonderful parks with great hiking and biking trails. The Charlie Russell Museum was excellent and there were several other museums we simply didn't have time for like the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center. And there's always fishing/rafting the Missouri river!

Every store and restaurant we went to the staff were friendly and helpful. The meals in the restaurants were large portions and very good. We went to sip n dip saw the mermaid with our meal and had supper at Tracy’s a few blocks from hotel large portions there as well and food was good. The antique store just around the corner from the hotel has lots of treasures and the owner was very sociable and helpful Don’t forget to stop at their candy store and try their fudge and other goodies they won’t disappoint

Went down for shopping, but so much is closed.
Went down for shopping, but so much is closed. The "mall" is a dead mall with barely anything in it. Target is great, which is were we ended up.
Childrens museum was closed with nothing on the website indicating it was being used for a private function.

I grew up in Great Falls, so it's fun to see what has changed. The CM Russell museum is terrific, and there are other artists also there. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center was the family's favorite, and there is a riverwalk hike to Giant Springs. Or you drive down to it (1/2 mile). Giant Springs is the largest natural spring in the world, I heard, but the Roe River, once the shortest river in the world may have been dethroned. The park around Giant Springs is great for picnicking, and we love just watching the river rush by. There's a trout hatchery next to the park, and it's fun to see how little fry become big fish. You can pay to feed them, so it's fun for little ones.
Great Falls is a grid, so getting around is easy. All the streets are clearly marked, and the main roads are accessible even during construction.
My favorite Western Wear shop is Hoglund's downtown. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is genuinely happy to help. They have a lot of boots and hats as well as clothing and accessories. I walked out with gorgeous cowboy boots that were comfortable from the start--not easy with this type of footwear, and they cleaned my son's Stetson for free, just because it was dusty. Truly my favorite store for that stuff.

Would not recommend staying here.
Would not recommend staying here. Was over charged for smaller room...was not upgraded. Also never use booking.com either as they offered no help retrieving my money back for a horrible experience at a hotel the offered on thier. Website
We had a spacious room with kitchenette on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the Missouri River. Wonderful! The landscaping was beautiful with many beds and pots of beautiful, colorful flowers and sweeping green lawns. The breakfast was very adequate with lots of food, a good variety, all you could eat. The indoor pool was not heated and too chilly for our Texas blood, but the hot tub was nice. Great Falls is a small town, so all the attractions were an easy drive away.
The hotel is in a good location in the historic downtown area -- walking distance to several restaurants. Our room was large and well-appointed with everything we might need, including a refrigerator and microwave, and the bathroom was spacious with room for our personal items. Bed was very comfortable. They have a dedicated parking garage for hotel guests. Nice artwork on the walls. We were only there overnight, but would have been happy to stay another night or two.
Affordable and clean accommodations in an older building with large rooms located in the heart of Great Falls. While I was there they were in the process of touching up the building as it appears to be need of lots of repairs and maintenance. Another bonus would be the covered unground parking which has to be very nice in the winter. Just be be careful if you drive a tall vehicle as there are many lower hanging pipes that need to be avoided.
The staff were all very friendly and eager to ensure our stay was pleasant and that we had all we needed.
The hotel is located just off the main street, so was really easy to navigate through Great Falls.
I would stay here again - no question, and would recommend it to others.
From the minute we walked in to the minute we checked out we were treated with the utmost respect. The entire hotel was very clean and the rooms are very nice. Then the breakfast they served in the morning was amazing.
we liked how the room was laid out the view we had from are windows was great the staff was extremely nice and helpful we couldn’t have asked for a better hotel to stay at for the night .
Room was very quiet and comfortable. Liked the tile / wood flloring rather than carpet. No breakfast at this hotel, but looks like after renovations breakfast may be available.
Chose this hotel because friends were staying there, it was close to the spots in Great Falls that we wanted to visit. Lots of options for food and shopping nearby.
