Beds were comfortable; beds were in seperate rooms with tv; what was available for breakfast, was good. Supplied on wall hand soap, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, bodywash. Other than freeway noise, room was quiet.

Beautiful property, super quiet . Lovely little deck to look at the stars at night. The bed and pillows were so comfy I wanted to take it with me lol there were a few pantry items just in case, which is super thoughtful of the host . 10 out of 10 would stay again

This is a great location. It’s a good sized room and is well decorated. There’s no reception, you get a code to use on the front door and your room door.

I travel to Grass Valley as a 100% remote worker who's company is located there - need a spot to park myself every 3 months or so - this was a perfect and affordable solution for an older solo gal traveler.

Grass Valley is such a visually stunning and relaxing area, it's my home away from home! The downtown area is adorable, and the outlying areas are peaceful and relaxing. It is truly a special place.

A nice base for Gold Country exploring, easy town to get around with good shopping and lovely historic street and buildings. I actually liked GV better than Nevada City, though the latter had more historic buildings. Very good food on offer all over.
Was surprised that many restaurants, one brewery and some sights were closed not just on Monday (the norm) but also on Tuesday and at least one on Wednesday.
Good walking town, not too big. Friendly people.

Grass Valley is a sweet little town with fun shops and decent restaurants. It is a nice day trip or a good place to stay on the way to Reno or Tahoe. It is not far from Nevada City which is essentially the same as Grass Valley but a bit larger. The community is really nice and the area is very pretty. There is a mining museum in the area which can give you a good idea of how the area developed.

Going in April means most of the activities or attractions in the area are not open during week...just the weekends; parking is a major problem downtown after about 4 pm. Grocery and restaurant prices are high, but that is not unique to Grass Valley

I loved Grass Valley and felt I only saw a small part of it.
I loved Grass Valley and felt I only saw a small part of it. Town is quaint, quiet and safe feeling. Many places to eat and shop and many outdoor activities. The town is low key and comfortable. There is some non-covid compliance, but those establishments were in the minority and easy to avoid. The pasty shop is wonderful and all the restaurants we tried were excellent. Many wine tasting establishments and many breweries to choose from.
The room was updated, the perfect mix between updated and classic historical. Absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen area surpassed expectations. At one point I had forgotten the code to our room, and the owner was super patient and kind. We can’t wait to go back! It’s a super short distance to downtown Grass Valley, and the updated shops and gluten free bakery were a big plus! Great location.
I'd describe this hotel as a deluxe motel, rather than the mix between a motel and a B&B they are going for. It has a great location, about a block away from the Main street where all the stores and restaurants are. The rooms are very large, comfortable and well appointed - and the staff was very nice and friendly. I particularly enjoyed petting the cat in the reception.
The tranquility was exceptional! Chad, my host, went above and beyond and his brother, Jay, was equally delightful. I grew up in Grass Valley, CA, so much of my family was in the area as my sister, Tawni , is planning on listing her house.
This wonderful slice of paradise was only 5 miles away from her, making it very convenient.
It’s a charming property with wonderful staff who go the extra mile to make you feel at home. There are so many little details that put this hotel over the top. We especially enjoyed the park like setting, pool and hot tub, local coffee, art, hot breakfast and happy hour!
The two beds were ok but the bed coverings were overly large and complicated their use.
The proximity to Grass Valley and to Nevada City were good.
Parking spaces were sufficient but the lot was a little cramped.
The size of the room was spacious and nicely decorated as if it was someone's home rather than a hotel room. Spacious bathroom and living areas. I extended my stay by one night and the staff was very helpful.
The room was clean and recently renovated. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the historical centre. A small park with chairs and tables in the shade of a large tree was the perfect place for breakfast.
Everything. Staff was awesome, room was awesome, location was great, happy hour & breakfast were bonus'. In general, we cancelled our reservation from another hotel when a room here became available.
It was a large room, pet friendly and the staff was nice. The surrounding area was a neighbor hood. But, walking my dog was great.. I will stay again if I find my self having to. The price was right.
Super clean! All what I need I found there. I liked very much” yellow brick road”-straight road from a hotel room to downtown, either shops, cafe, restaurants and so on. Highly recommended!
Breakfast was better than the average hotel breakfast and quite well prepared. It would be nice to vary the offerings though. Every morning of our 3 day stay was the same.
The room was gorgeous and the bed was really comfortable. It was walking distance to downtown Grass Valley. Great communication with the owner. We loved it.
