Don’t trust the web site pictures!
Don’t trust the web site pictures! The bottom floor is unusable due to odor of mildew! We couldn’t get in until the second day due to a faulty key pad and that’s after a maintenance visit which did not fix the problem…another phone call to booking.com was not the way I wanted to spend my time!!!
The furniture on the second floor was so dirty with stains, dog hair all over furniture which transferred to our clothing. NO wine glasses! One dish towel, seriously just one😒.
The outside deck has siding off laying on the deck next to animal dung, no joke and not funny to us!
So many areas of chipped paint, broken blinds, dirty rugs, fridge did not keep drinks cold.
Wish we had had this review before we stayed, we wouldn’t have considered it and would definitely not again!!
Reviews matter…Hope this one helps other families looking for a safe and clean stay! The beach view and the breeze from the ocean was nice.

Was there for a family wedding so did not get to many spots. Prior trips have included more activities. Love Galveston, the sea wall, the strand, the people are awesome and so many choices of places to go.

We love Galveston but staying one night at Casa del
Mar in a room with a balcony facing 61st St did not impress
One night plus cleaning fee made this more expensive than other options. We stayed here to see east coast friends who stayed at Casa Del Mar an entire month
What breakfast options? The very nice woman who checked us in did not say anything about breakfast

The hotel we stayed in was filthy.
The hotel we stayed in was filthy. The trolleys do not run where they’re supposed to when they’re supposed to or stop when they’re supposed to. It was a nightmare. On top of that you have to take a shuttle from Houston to Galveston or get an Uber. Will not be returning to Galveston

The fresh seafood is uncomparable.
The fresh seafood is uncomparable. Gaidos at least once is a must. Free Ferry rides. Perfect for travelers on a budget.
The bad note is Gulf Coast concierge. It is a golf cart rental. We rented two golf carts for two parties and were not delivered. Rented for the entire day but only deliver after 5:00 p.m. no pickups are allowed. They are conveniently closed over the weekend so you cannot contact anyone. They also do not issue refunds for no show. Still in fight for refund,
This hotel should not be on booking.com . We arrived super late to find it to be super dark, not so great people hanging out on balcony. Door to room appear to have a metal plate like it had been once broken. Room had no baseboards. One trash can no phone. Floors new however when u walk km them felt so dirty. The area was like being in hood. My husband slept with gun. If had not been so late we would not have stayed. We had no idea where to look for a safer hotel that late in Galveston.
The hotel location is great and the parking was convenient. I loved how large our room was and how comfortable the beds were. The view from our balcony was gorgeous and it was so nice to be able to step out on the balcony to smoke without having to go all the way to the parking lot just to have a cigarette. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone whose planning to visit Galveston.
The Knights Inn has been our #1 choice of the Galveston stays for 16 years. It has everything for the comfortable stay- good beds, microwave, fridge, even bathtub, it has a friendly room environment. We also love it for being the closest of all hotels to the Gulf shore- just across the road. And, of course, the ocean view. Thanks, we again had a great time in Knights Inn Galveston.
Everything was just great. The hotel had not received anything from Booking.com, but fortunately had a room for us anyway. I will use this hotel in the future but will never use Booking.com again because the did nothing for us and on a busy weekend in Galveston it is possible no rooms could have been available. In the future I will book direct with the hotel we wish it visit.
The location was great, the beach was right across the street, and there were plenty of places to eat around. The hotel is an older facility, but it is definitely fairly priced. Staff were very nice, and the complimentary breakfast was a treat. Coffee and ce water are available all day along with fresh tangerines!
Room location and staff were excellent. Merry was very courteous and helpful. Valet was excellent and hotel held our bags after checkout so that we could attend granddaughter’s award assembly.Would recommend and stay again when in Galveston.
always clean so close to the beach and when I told the front desk about last time getting a balcony with no view he made sure we got the 5th floor with such a great view only hotel will stay in Galveston getting book know for September!
Room was decent-ish, the hotel grounds were dirty and littered with trash, the elevator was disgusting and we went to the buffet in the morning mid-breakfast and all the buffet chaffing dishes were empty. It was really weird.
I liked the convenient location of the hotel and Galveston was really a nice place. My room was clean and was a nice value. No problem with our room whatsoever. Check in was easy, staff was pleasant. Breakfast was good too.
This is the perfect stop if you are in Galveston, in front of the sea with all the things needed to spend a nice vacation. The room is very big with a small kitchen inside, everything very clean.
Recommended absolutely.
It was a great location and I loved the balcony!
The rooms were nice. Beds were comfortable.
I definitely recommend this hotel.
Also it was BUG FREE. When I return to Galveston I will come back to this hotel.
Gaido’s was great. It’s an older hotel with charm and character, but is kept clean and updated. The staff were really helpful and kind. The location right on the beach was perfect.
This small hotel is located next to the sea only seperated by one street. We had a great view of the sea and enjoyed the neighborhood. The rooms were totally fine and felt clean.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Galveston's historic district. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable.
