This classic family resort had just opened for the season and we were among the very few early guests for the time we spent here. Our apartment was CHARMING and comfortable, and the view of Crystal Lake was very good from our living room and porch. Evenings and early mornings were cool, and the gas fireplace was a WONDERFUL asset to enjoy. I moved the very comfortable chair in front of it and just enjoyed the warmth while looking out over the lake. The two Queen beds were comfortable with good old-fashioned type comforters. The Kitchenette had everything that we needed, and the coffee pot and the coffee provided were appreciated. The plumbing all worked great with a good toilet flush and an excellent shower flow. The informal check-in and check-out were great, and the email guidance was accurate and excellent. The area was quiet, beautiful and one that we have driven through MANY times but now, have a much greater appreciation of. The Rock Landings Restaurant was not open for the season yet, so we weren't able to enjoy that. Sunsets at Betsie Point Lighthouse was just about a 5-minute drive away. We did go up to the lodge and met the caretaker, Michelle, who was delightful and friendly. We met no other guests and staff members always waved to us when they passed us. I'm sure it gets crazier in the height of summer season but since we always love travelling "off-season," we will, DEFINITELY, stay here again. We travel a lot and stay in a lot of different B&B's and inns. We think that Chimney Corners has been one of our BEST finds!

The quiet, woodsy location was perfect for my husband and myself. The apartment was beautifully maintained and stocked with some essential items. We enjoyed this little piece of paradise with easy access to stores, restaurants, the beach, ice cream etc.

My whole family was able to stay together comfortably and each with our own beds unlike if we had stayed at a hotel. All our amenities were right there for us. Every room was stocked with all the necessities making it easier for us to pack less.

It is a quaint ‘old school’ motel with parking at your door:) Very clean and a very comfortable bed!! Quiet too! We have stayed a couple times before and plan to again when we are in the area!

There is a convenient key box to check in, since we arrived at middle night and left in early morning. Hotel provided enough bottle water, so we did not really buy more water. Walking distance to beach so we could handout at the beach till 11 pm.

Love the town.
Love the town. Caters to visitors, but has its historic roots and events and festivals for locals. Plenty of shops and restaurants. Town is clean and takes pride in its maintenance. Beach is beautiful. A lot of benches and room for beach-goers. Love that the town was a popular destination, but not at all over-crowded. Nice coffee shops and a great local brewery.

It is a town that caters to boaters and wealthy people. There is a good choice of retail storefronts selling beachwear, jewelry, home and kitchen goods and a good selection of places to dine, including a brewery. Parking is free and ample. A paved bike/run/walk trail along the Betsie river is a plus.

Quaint little beach town... public beach on Lake Michigan, lots of restaurants, shops, etc. Very “walkable.” There’s a marina on Betsie Lake which is a block south of Main Street. You can rent paddle boards, kayaks, etc. Frankfort is also close (short drive) to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Crystal Lake & other attractions.

I do not know exactly how often I was in Frankfort but I will come back again and every time I was here I had a great time. The sunset at the beach is amazing. The beach is wide open and clean. The entertainment in the city provides something for everybody.My personal favorite is the Storm Cloud brewery, but just because I love craft beers

Nice small beach town with plenty of nature to see within 1 hr radius. Crowded at the 4th of July. Beach is awesome. People are friendly. Restaurants are ok. Lots of shops to visit. Nice farmers market on Saturday.
