I liked the location. I liked that it was a smaller facility and not a lot of guests at one time.

The hotel was closed when we got there because the roof collapsed. I'm furious that they didn't call us ahead of time to tell us. We spent an hour finding another place to stay which made us late for the event we were attending.
To top it off, when I called the number taped to the lobby door, the person who answered barely apologized. I had even called at 11am that day to ask if the pool was open and they said nothing about the hotel closure.

Clean and well maintained older property. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location within walking distance of the ferry to Martha's Vineyard makes this a great value.

Forestdale is a hidden treasure on the Cape. It is easy to get to, and has plenty to offer on its own — check out the Tomatoes restaurant: fabulous food and terrific service. There are movies, excellent ice cream, and more. Sandwich is just a short drive away, and a mashpee not much farther than that. Route 6A is a short drive away, and loaded with antiques places and fun shops. And getting back home from Forestdale is easy as it is close to the beginning of the Cape.
