Room was clean and very quiet - no noise from traffic. The complimentary breakfast was an excellent buffet, and included hot food options - including omelette, cereals, toast, waffles, muffins, yoghurts, fruit, coffees and juices. Staff were friendly and gave good advice on visiting attractions in the local area. Good location for visiting both Everglades and Biscayne National Park, or using as a starting point to head down to the Keys.

Not a destination, but perfect for passing through.
Not a destination, but perfect for passing through. I was on my way to dive in Key Largo. All I needed was a good night's rest without paying for an expensive room in Key Largo. Florida City/Homestead was 30 minutes out, just right for a late arrival and early departure. Plenty of affordable food choices and services.

The location was wonderful.
The location was wonderful. The area had various things to do. Everyone should make it their first and only stop before heading south into the other keys, experience them all, then return back to Florida City and enjoy the rest of your stay. Don't forget to book a room at Holiday Inn Express for a great time, and awesome breakfast and dip in their very clean pool.

I liked best Everglades and Biscayne National Parks that are close to Florida City. Coral Castle was also very interesting. The outlet mall had some good deals and numerous restaurants are in close proximity. Both O'Deeny's and Yardie Spice restaurants make excellent and unique meals.

I'm a Miami resident and had family who lived here in the past so am well familiar with Florida City. Great waypoint for Robert is Here, the Everglades, the big mall, the upper Keys. Pretty long drive from Miami but easy to find everything in this gateway town.

We picked this location because of traveling to Key West the next day and we were able to visit Miami Beach and Bayside Marketplace in Miami and we took went on Thriller Miami Speedboat Adventures there. We didn't really do anything in Florida City or Homestead.

Was informed that city was an unsafe area and full of crime.
Was informed that city was an unsafe area and full of crime. But that didn’t seem to be the case.
Besides the idiot drivers bearing Florida license plates, driving in Florida City with the layout was good. Be prepared to be cut off repeatedly. But this epidemic was everywhere in Florida.
Florida City was centrally located to our sightseeing areas and much more affordable than others.
Lots of great eateries.
Take an airboat tour. (Groupon)
Take your kids to “Robert is Here”
Just don’t shop at the Wal-Mart thinking it’ll be like your own local Wal-Mart. It’s the worst.
The hotel is conveniently located. There are other restaurants nearby if the free breakfast offered by the hotel is not to your liking. The Outlets are nearby, only a short drive up the road. The Biscayne National Park is a short drive away with fantastic coastal trail. A longer trip out to Key Largo is feasible
The room served its purpose - somewhere clean to sleep comfortably and shower. The pool was clean to swim in or or simply relax in the shade.
There is ample parking for cars.
Hotel including buildings and grounds are well maintained and staff are nice. I have stayed her on and off for a total of three months, I have also stayed at all the competing hotels in the area for a total of another three months. It is the best hotel for the money in the Homestead & Florida City area, The pool is the nicest in the Florida City area.
The hotel building wasn't likeable to my satisfaction it's also located in a terrible area. The city is highly dangerous in a high crime area with drug addicts drug activity prostitution gang violence and robbery. The hotel price is over priced Budget motel isn't worth the asking price. my stay at budget was horrible and I don't recommend to visit.
the most terrible manager, refused to return the money - after one of the hotel guests vomited DIRECTLY INTO THE POOL TO WHAT THE MANAGER ANSWERED WE WILL ADD NOTHING TERRIBLE CHEMISTRY TO THE WATER, but the fact that children can get an intestinal infection does not matter to him, someone else's hair in bed, in a word shit
It was a really good stay in Baymont by Wyndham, The staff was really nice and very helpful, we like continental breakfast, which was so testy and lot's of option in menu. regarding room it was clean and well managed. We highly recommended this hotel, specially for those whose would like to visit keys.
This brand always ensure good quality standards and a cost-effective stay for travellers.
Rooms are comfortable and clean, well equiped. This hotel also offered a free guest laudry and I really appreciated this unique attention given to the guests (Thank you!)
This was best place we stayed during our Florida trip
Perfect convenient location many restaurants near by
Close by Wallmart
1 hour from Miami
Reasonable breakfast included in price
Room and hotel area are clean
I would definitely return
The lady at the front desk is very nice, calling you in the room after you checked in to make sure everything is fine. It’s one of the cheapest place in the area, perfect location to get to the Everglades or the Keys. Perfect stop for 1 night
Friendly staff, clean room, OK breakfast for American hotel (I don't understand why they are using plastic dishes).
Free parking, easy access to the hotel.
Location was the main reason for choosing this hotel. We were traveling between the Keys and Ft Lauderdale each day, so it was somewhat centrally located.
