Evanston is really pretty and a great place to stay if you want to visit Chicago without staying downtown. Some great restaurants in the area and the Northwestern campus offers some great lakeshore views of the Chicago skyline.

Staff knows nothing about area
Towels will scratch face so old and rough

Room was dark and dated.
Room was dark and dated. No coffee machine in room (just hot water pot and instant coffee) and no fresh coffee in lobby either! Restaurant was freezing with A/C and uncomfortable to eat there.
Poor access to outlets in room. Only plus was the shower!

Evanston is a lovely community.
Evanston is a lovely community. A combination of old, stately homes and lively university setting. It is a pretty city that sits on the shores of Lake Michigan and offers a variety of interesting things to see. Many multi-ethnic restaurants. Easy to get around.

Great college town (Northwestern) and wonderful northern suburb of Chicago. Friendly people, good restaurants, near sites like the Holocaust Museum, Baha’i Temple, and Lake Michigan, A’s well as the suburbs of Skokie, Wilmette, Kenilworth, and Winnetka.

I have family in the area , thinking of renting the entire place for a weekend in the future to accommodate 4 families. It's local is walkable and near shopping and NW in addition to a great facility.
More than decent hotel, clean, with staff overall friendly and helpful, spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Complimentary coffee/tea regularly replaced, and a useful microwave in the room. I didn't try the breakfast, which is paid for separately. Prices are in line for the area.
I found this Hilton much better in all respects (personnel, facilities,, cleanliness) than the other Hilton nearby, where I have also stayed a couple of times. If back in Evanston, I will certainly choose the Garden Inn again.
The location, for us, couldn’t have been better. Parking was easy. Lots of restaurants nearby in a very walkable area. Housekeeping and front desk staff were lovely. Public spaces were great. Our room was showing its age-some peeling paint, a little mildew smell. We borrowed a can of Lysol three times from housekeeping to spray the A/C unit-which cooled beautifully, by the way. We would stay here again-great price, great location.
Omelets were excellent. The potatoes were cold. The hotel location was excellent. The room was neat/nice. There was an African American gentleman who was very personable. He seemed to be doing everything at the hotel-with a smile on his face: desk person, bartender, valet. I was surprised he was not the chef as well. Most other personnel simply did not exert the same positive vibe.
Wonderful mix of history and modern amenities in a stylish and luxurious setting.
Bedrooms were comfortable and provided large bathrooms for refreshing weary travellers.
Great bar and dining area that encompasses the experience of the location.
I really loved the layout of the room, the awesome little kitchenette and island, the shower and the hotel in general. Not busy but there on a Wednesday. We never eat breakfast but decided on a made to order omelet since it was available!
The hotel was so beautiful. Loved the wood smell and carpeted floors in the lobby and in the rooms. The bar was amazing and special credits to the bartender, Jarell who made some exceptional drinks and provided great service
The lounging and hospitality was outstanding. The accomodations were more than what a brand name hotel would provide. I give the Cozy Studio a five star rating and would recommend it to stay at while visiting Chicago.
Good location in Evanston. Close to UPN Davis Street stop and CTA Davis Street stop to get into Chicago. Not too long of a walk to Northwestern University. Staff were helpful. Beds very comfortable!
Other than the parking situation, this was really nice! The staff was very friendly, the hotel was spotless and modern, and the room was huge and gorgeous. Absolutely loved my stay there.
Convenient to Northwestern. It is an older style of hotel which was comfortable, clean and quiet. The hotel bar served a very good hamburger. Parking on the street was manageable.
