The room was one of the best hotel rooms I have ever had in any country.
Cocktails and bar service truly excellent.
The bikes are basic but in good condition. The kayaking, also included, was well worth it..though the road abit noisy.

This survey is a bit unfair. This location is being remodeled. We are fine with that. It does need to be remodeled! Service was fine. The young lady who checked us in was very very friendly and helpful!
Give this place some time to get needed remodeling.

The Lodge was very clean and welcoming. Definately would stay again.
Best Super 8 Motel we have stayed at! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nourishing and substantial and included proteins , instead of other Super 8, which were all carbohydrates. Pool was clean and refreshing. Staff was friendly and kind.

If you will be traveling to the Escanaba/Gladstone Michigan...
If you will be traveling to the Escanaba/Gladstone Michigan area. Make sure that you book a stay at the Terrace. This place is one of the nicest Hotels that I have stayed in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan.
It is beautifully placed on a nice shoreline property. The rooms are clean and very nicely decorated.
The food at this place is awesome. It has a nice bar with great employees. In the morning you will be fortunate to have a great coffee shop right on the property.
Truely a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. They even provide free bicycles if you would like to two wheel around.
A perfect place to just check in an unwind for a few days.
A real gem of a Hotel.

Only stayed for one night.
Only stayed for one night. The hotel that we chose we thought was on the better side but turned out to be not quite that good.
We drove around in the morning on our way out and saw that this was a quaint little town. Some of the neighborhoods were really really nice and we enjoyed the tour that we took just driving through. Seems like it might be a place that we'd like to come back to see what else it has to offer.

This was our fourth trip to Escanaba, all one night stays to see shows at the casino. I would like to stay a day or two more some time to explore more of the area but that doesn't work for my husband. I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ludington. Very old and interesting place. We've eaten at Hudson's Grill, Mo's bar and grill, The Ludington grill and the Swedish place that I can't think of the name of (there are billboards for it). I'm looking forward to going back.

I'm very familiar with the area.
I'm very familiar with the area. I've been visiting there for over 10 years. It's got plenty for shopping needs, a theater, variety of places to eat, the large park is wonderful, and its scenic areas such as lakes/beaches/pier are beautiful as well as great biking/walking trails and more.
Staff were friendly and accommodating, up to a point. We requested a room move, if possible, from the first which was smokey smelling. But when told our room had a dripping tub faucet, there was no ofter to move us again, because there was no plumber or repair person available to help. The hotel was not fully booked either of the two nights, so maybe they could have tried again... There was a nice sized refrigerator and a small microwave provided.
The location of this hotel is perfect for getting around in Escanaba/Gladstone area. Very easy to get in and out of the parking lot onto the main road. With the exception of one staff member, everyone I came into contact with was very helpful and pleasant.

Breakfast and coffee at 5 was FANTASTIC. I’m an early riser and I usually have to go off site to get coffee because most hotels don’t have it available til 7.
