The Location was great and breakfast was very good.

Destin is a beautiful area for families The beach is clean and the sand is soft and white. There are so many things to do in the area. Driving is a bit of a hassle, but the rental of a golf cart looked like a smart idea. We ate at Fat Clemenza's and the Surf Hut. Both were excellent for the food and the ambiance. We also ate at Fudpuckers, but once we were seated, it took forever to be served our food. There was plenty to do while we waited for a table, but the kitchen was very slow.

My husband and I came for our babymoon in February. It was cool - but coming from the NorthEast Winter, it was exactly the escape we needed. We spent almost everyday walking around the resort, visiting the swimming pools (The main pool was heated which was great for taking a dip, and the Market Street pool was perfect for sunbathing in remote quiet), and biked several times around the entire resort and to the beach. The biking paths were our favorite aspect of the resort - we saw so many beautiful views and renting the bikes was easy! The food at Baytowne Wharf was perhaps some of the best eats we've ever had and the bay and beach sunsets should NOT be missed!

Nice sandy beach.
Nice sandy beach. Possible to hire chairs and a parasol but very expensive! Close to shops and restaurants. Would have liked to visit the Turtle Conservation center but it was closed when we were in Destin so we visited Fort Pickens instead

Destin is a beautiful place.
Destin is a beautiful place. Alot of scenery and the sunsets are amazing down at the harbor. Oysters were great at all the places we ate them. Lots of nice shopping around the area. Beaches were very clean. We will be back soon!

I am a past business owner in Destin . I've always loved the area from South Walton County thru Ft. Walton Beach and Destin is right in the middle. I have many friends in Destin and love to see them . AJs always is fun as is Brotula's, Dewey Destins, and Margaritaville. The harbour is my home away from home . You can't go wrong with the charter fishing boats and the Christian captains such as Disipleship,5thDay etc.

Destin is great for family getaways, and friend trips for all ages. Definitely affordable. I went December 2023 and was not too cold, just a little chilly and windy. Easy access to the beautiful beach from anywhere in Destin. Henderson Beach State Park has easy parking near shore. Excellent outdoor mall, movie theatre, Walmart, Bealls store, Dollar Tree, Snorkeling/Scuba Dive option, small water park, go-karts, and seafood restaurants just to name a few. I was amazed with Destin, I loved it!! Highly recommended for all ages.
We booked through expedia.com and because of this, when we arrived at the hotel, they sold us a room that was not available. We were in Destin Florida which is extremely busy this time of year and there was absolutely no rooms available for us anywhere. However extended stay, found us a room and because of the inconvenience offered it to us at an extreme discount. It was really nice of them. In the future I will not be booking on one of those websites again I will go directly to the hotel itself.
We rented a 1 bedroom queen apartment with a pullout couch. The luau hotel was clean great staff and service. We had an amazing view with tons of amenities and things to do within walking distance and they also have a tram. Access to multiple resort pools and amenities like bike rentals, kayaks, paddleboard. I highly recommend Sandestin resort and would definitely stay there again.
The room was nicely furnished with quality furniture. The cookware was nice. Almost everything in the condo was good quality and things that I would buy for my own house. A lot of other condos have cheap dollar tree utensils and Walmart cookware.
I came for my birthday. The staff was nice, rooms were clean, even the other people staying there were friendly! Prices were reasonable. Everything was perfect! Definitely would stay again & would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Destin!
We love the hotel. We always stay here. We just get different rooms every time.. We had plenty of towels and pots and pans and everything was clean. Basic layout of all Sundestin rooms spaceous bedroom and walk through bathrooms
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Effie Sandestin for our anniversary and we really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel had a very pleasant smell and the staff were so nice. We had dinner at the Ovide which exceeded our expectations!
I think that it was a wonderful experience with the hope that I can come back to the Destin Florida area. I would like to see if I can set up a longer term stay and become a regular at this condo.
The staff at this hotel were so friendly! U would come back just because of them. Came for our Honeymoon and they decorated our room. Thought that was very nice of them. Good location as well.
They didn’t offer breakfast to us they said it wasn’t available. We will be going to the beach again this month for a day or 2 but I won’t be using this hotel again.
The fact that it was in Destin & was cheaper than other local places. Although, some condos on the water were close to the same price and much higher value stay.
