Sonesta Select Boston Danvers, hotel in Danvers

This Danvers, Massachusetts hotel is a 5-minute walk to Liberty Tree Mall and a 10-minute drive to Salem. It offers free Wi-Fi and spacious rooms.

The location is ideal! Needed to run to Target a couple of times and it was great that it was literally 30 seconds away. It’s also very accessible to 128 and only 10 minutes from my daughter’s college. I would stay again just for the location! Bed was comfortable, thermostat worked well (very important!), staff was friendly.

Danvers is very close to Salem and the accommodations at Sonesta were fantastic. We were so close we decided to Uber/Lift back and forth to the hotel. We were right next door to a shopping center/Mall/restaurants. We definitely would recommend staying in Danvers.

A great jumping off point is you are a history buff. Danvers was the historic Salem Village in the 16th, early 17th century, They changed the name when township was granted and to try to get away from the bad press of the witchcraft events.

Don’t stay at this hotel. Do not waste your money.

Don’t stay at this hotel. Do not waste your money. Sleep in your car or anywhere else. Horrific experience. Broken safety locks, wires hanging out of the walls, bugs in the room, hair in the tub,. There is no way the room was cleaned between occupants. Spent $150 at Walmart to buy sheets and towels the cause the hotel was so unbelievably dirty.

    Such a lovely little place!

Such a lovely little place! Close to everything we wanted to do, but also far enough away that it wasn’t loud or too busy. The historic homes and buildings around are to die for! My husband and I are actually talking about moving up there in the not-too-distant future :-)

Can-do attitude of staff. This is the number one factor in managing a hotel. Layout of room and availability of walk-in shower for my husband. Comfort of beds and pillows. Cleanliness of rooms and overall facility. Quality and selection of breakfast foods, and large, attractive eating space. Outdoor sitting patio and indoor pool. Operating Windows to let in fresh air.

Hidden charges so be careful. They not only took an extra $50 when I tried to add a night they wanted to charge another $50. The desk agent said “you got this cheaper than we charge people because you booked it online so we have to charge $50 extra deposit. I was stunned. I of course did not stay another night.
