The biscuits were hard and dry! everything else was great! good coffee, waffles, yoga. the breakfast was more than anyone could ask for! I will stay there again. the only thing I left my cell phone charger in the wall. if they would send it to me I would be grateful I stayed in room 116, first floor. MAY 10th ELAINE MCPHERSON. Front desk staff greeted us, even though we arrived late at night. He was pleasant and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. We had our own refrigerator too. The price could not be beat. We got more than our money's worth.

Great outdoor-centric town for riding the Creeper Trail, getting a taste of the Appalachian Trail, and enjoying all that southwest Virginia has to offer. We soaked up an epic sunset on Whitetop Mountain from here and also drove to a picnic/afternoon hike with the ponies in Grayson Highlands State Park. Town was getting ready for Trail Days, an annual celebration of AT hikers, which looks to be very fun!

Damascus is a small town. Easy to get around.
Damascus is a small town. Easy to get around. Can walk just about anywhere. Didn't have much time here to explore. There is a nice park in town. Perfect place to stay for those biking the Virginia Creeper Trail.

Damascus is a very small town in SW Virginia just before you enter the Cherokee National forest. The town is known for being on the Creeper Trail which is for bicycling and also horses. A stop over for hikers on the Appalachian Trail also. Quiet and restful, not for everyone. We loved it.
