I have never stayed in a Super 8 hotel before & despite the Wyndham brand, I was somewhat skeptical. The hotel is near the interstate (I-10), but the loud A/C drowned out the noise. It is also across the highway from gas stations, fast food restaurants, a Dollar Tree & a Super Wal-Mart center. About 3 miles south of Chipley is Falling Waters State Park which was WONDERFUL! Only $5 for park admission w/ high waterfall & boardwalk that goes to a lake for swimming & sandy beach. It is very peaceful & relaxing.
Wifi is spotty and works poorly, jumps on and off, I cannot believe these dumpy motels do not provide decent wifi, they might get better reviews.....this place is nothing special. Breakfast was a joke. No bread or bagels, I saw no coffee, had tiny bottles of juice. Only food I saw was wrapped almost total sugar buns, awful, and unhealthy. ZERO effort made on the breakfast. I will never stay at this dump again.
Walls had patches not painted. Something on wall near door that appeared to be mold. Office staff exceptionally rude. Booking site stated pet friendly and breakfast available “not at my place” she kept saying. Would never return or recommend.
