Comfort and convienance. Price also very reasonable
It was a great place until we saw the condition of our room.
It was a great place until we saw the condition of our room. There was something all over the pillows, blinds did not work. The fire detector and been removed, the floors hadn't been sweep in forever. Just nasty accommodations.

Beautiful and clean beach. Not too crowded.
Beautiful and clean beach. Not too crowded. Small town with great restaurants. Lily's Little Mexican food truck is authentic and delicious! Most restaurants are closed by 9pm. Funland Amusements is great for a fun day with the kids or teens. $25 wristbands are worth it.

We loved Chincoteague!! It is sooo beautiful!!
We loved Chincoteague!! It is sooo beautiful!!🤩 However, there was one thing we were disappointed with, and that was the service here. At least two different restaurants said they were open, but when we got there, they were actually closed😒 Other than that, it was an outstanding experience😀

Chincoteague before Memorial Day and after Labor Day is...
Chincoteague before Memorial Day and after Labor Day is delightful. The shops are open and traffic is minimal. During the summer season, there are a lot of tourists and traffic. There is only 1 way in and out of the island (other than your own boat) and it can quickly become very congested. Other than that, there are many restaurants with varied menus and price points. I recommend going to the Wildlife Refuge and driving the Loop. On this visit, we were able to see a large group of ponies during the drive! Another interesting place to visit is Wallops Flight Facility, which is just before you cross over onto Chincoteague. This is a NASA launch facility, and they have a very interesting display of rockets and other space-related items; you might even catch the launch of a rocket!

Quaint town with good food. Not a lot of people.
Quaint town with good food. Not a lot of people. If you are looking for night life or lots of thing to do, it's not for you. There are a couple of coffee shops, 1/2 a dozen restaurants, 2 mini golfs, a water park, and some small shops. if you want a quiet get away, then it's perfect.

Every employee I encountered was personable, kind, helpful and knowledgeable, they were like family. I chatted with many, having wonderful conversations pertaining to many factors of life.
Bright, cheerful, helpful, clean, beautiful view. What more could one need!
PS.
I truly hope the corporation compensates these wonderful employees and tells/shows their appreciation. Remember, happy employees make for happy guest!
I must confess, my previous experiences at similar hotels left much to be desired. However, this time, I was pleasantly surprised and chose to remain silent no longer. The experience exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The rooms were impeccably clean and cozy, the staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. Breakfast at Amari was a delight, with delicious offerings that left us thoroughly satisfied. Even our furry friend, our dog, gave their paw of approval to this wonderful establishment.
We chose the Chincoteague Inn Motel because of its central location in town and ease of travel to the beach and other attractions nearby. Our room was very clean. The facility does not offer free continental breakfast but does have a screen house for picnics outdoors (with purchased food) -- needed due to the very buggy conditions in the summer! The seasonal outdoor pool was a welcome way to cool off after a day of exploring.
We had a lovely room with a balcony and a direct view of the bay. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The included hot breakfast was much appreciated and had some variations from day to day. All staff members we met were friendly and helpful - when we returned to the hotel late one evening, clutching our pints of decadent ice cream from the Island Creamery, the host on duty happily supplied us with spoons!
We stayed in a beautifully updated room, but overall the staff very incredibly lovely, many thoughtful touches around the place including access to bikes, picnic baskets and the likes for those on holiday, the breakfast was incredible, and the location is perfect for a stay in Chincoteague. Overall we had a lovely time! Love the special touches in the room including guide and history books.
Island Resort is a beautiful hotel. It's very clean and comfortable. It has amazing views from our private deck. The indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzi are very nice. The breakfasts were good. The staff is very friendly. It's in a great location. I will definitely book a room in the future.
It was our second visit and we love the view from the balcony. The room itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We didn't try the included breakfast because the hotel is only about 3 blocks from Amarin Coffee, which has the best breakfast pastries and coffee I've ever tasted.
As noted, with their award in 2021 as the “best” HI in America, the site did nothing but reiterate that title. From start to finish, it was the best HI I ever stayed in and in working days I stayed in many.
The waterfront deck is AMAZING!!!
The experience could not have been better
Super affordable compared to the other hotels. My gf and I were looking for something nice but wouldn’t break the bank. It had everything we needed and was a perfect place to stay. It was our first time at the island and we had a blast.
I liked how friendly, polite and accommodating the staff was. The room was far superior to other 3-star hotels I’ve been to—rooms are huge! Everything was squeaky clean too!
We love the location, the value...and they must have replaced the mattresses because WOW are the beds comfy!! We love Annie the Island Kitty, she is a welcome new addition.
