I love this place! Second time staying here for a rave at the Senator Theatre; the staff is incredibly friendly. The rooms are always spotless. They even fold the first square of the toilet paper! Fiji water in the room that will get you charged 5 dollars if consumed was cool too.

Well appointed room. Comfy furnishings, hot coffee and an awesome selection of teas in the lobby. Friendly staff at check in and during our stay. Good breakfast options which included an egg white/Denver omelet, fresh fruit, good coffee. There were decadent offerings too (waffle, bacon, cheese omelets, pastry). Well I was hoping for more time for personal use, but the time I did have with a nice gentleman I met went quite well. We had an oral debate about several issues., with which I love to swallow all the knowledge possible. It was quite enjoyable. I hope to be back soon!

Chico is a fabulous little town.

Chico is a fabulous little town. So out of the way that it still retains lots of charm, Mom's for breakfast is fabulous. A walk through Bidwell Park is a great way to see something that is truly unique...a natural swimming pool with river in and out

The downtown area, right by the State University is kind of hit and miss, many businesses are either open for short hours or not at all, many store fronts were in transition, some well established businesses but the City is still going through some significant economic challenges. The homeless situation is not getting any better, the fact they are hanging out and using public parks is not ideal, it is a safety issue for both visitors and students, something the City needs to take into their hands more seriously. There is plenty of land around the City to plan for some type of facilities for the homeless, so the downtown can come back to thriving and be a safe and clean place to do business and visit. Most cities are dealing with the same issue, it's a National issue. Some good places for drinks and food, of course, being a college town, lots of good value.

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel.

I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. I was told by the desk clerk that I had a very quiet room but I was awakened several times throughout the night due to excessive noise both from above me and in the parking lot. Cars playing loud music with heavy bass frequented the lot all night long! The room above me sounded like a workout gym! The people next door tried to open the common door between the rooms twice. Fortunately, I kept my side secured! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a quiet room for the evening. Also, the "types" hanging out in the area looked a bit shady. I looked up the crime stats of the area and they were very high with assaults and muggings being the most along with occasional nearby murders. Finding another spot to stay is my advice!

Chico is a fine place we have family there but the hotel was a real disappointment after driving for 31/2 hrs and just wanted to rest we had to try and find another place for our family. Even the drapes I’n the room had holes all over them like bugs had eaten them or something.

Chico is well known for its parks and walkable areas.

Chico is well known for its parks and walkable areas. Many stores in several different areas for shopping: world market, barnes & noble, cost co. Shopping malls and many big box stores. Good variety of restaurants. Chico has a several one way roads. Weather can be extremely hot and dry.

The beds were comfortable, loved the pillows. The house has a big kitchen, dining area, and living room. Despite being close to the freeway, we didn't hear much noise from it, just from the thoroughfare street in front of the house. The couch is comfy. The Wifi was good, the TV came with at least one streaming service, and other streaming apps were loaded. Easy to get to downtown Chico by car.

The staff was excellent. They are all engaged and have great people skills. They were very accommodating with our service dog, and greeted us every time we came in. The breakfast was included in the price, and was very nice, with more than just pastries and coffee. The rooms were nicely appointed and clean. It was everything we would expect from a hotel, but the staff was exceptional.

Location is great. Lots of nearby restaurants and shopping. I like that the hotel was not located in the city center. Very quiet and comfortable rooms. Bed is generous size with crisp clean cotton linens. Lighting is very nice. I would stay here again. Generous size room and the bathroom is roomy with a generous size step in shower. Hotel and room was sparkling clean.

I wanted to bump the rating up a bit on here. I stay in a lot of motels/hotels around California and I don’t think this one is nearly as bad as the ratings make it out to be. Location is good. Price is decent. Staff is chill. The little breakfast is nice too. I would come back here again if I’m back in Chico.

Love the downtown location and rate. Perfect for a safe Chico weekend. It was quiet and comfortable. Nice bathroom mirror, hot shower and coffee in the morning. Didn't use the microwave, but finding it was unexpected at this rate. Thanks also for the body wash and shampoo.

Good value, clean. Surprisingly quiet. This is a budget motel and the building is older, but the mattress was comfortable, it had fitted sheets, friendly staff and more room than others in us class and price.
