Enjoyed dining at several recommended restaurants.
Enjoyed dining at several recommended restaurants. We liked the local flavor and interesting dining locations especially in North Charleston. We ate lunch at Codfathers, and dinner one evening at Lola.. Both restaurants displayed local chefs creative dishes. We also enjoyed the best coffee and customer service at Prophet coffee shop on Spruill Ave. It had a cool vibe. North Charleston has a vibrant restaurant scene along this corridor. .

Charleston is an amazing history.
Charleston is an amazing history. You should really take a historical walking tour to understand all there is and how meaningful it is. Charleston has a dark history especially about slavery, so be prepared to hear the truth. But people are proud of their multi-faceted history, it seems like a very friendly and open place, and the amount of old houses and buildings is amazing. Great restaurants and decent shopping. Charm galore. I want to go back.

The food and the markets were my favorite!
The food and the markets were my favorite! The historical aspect of the city is very interesting, and the buildings are so beautiful. Another Broken Egg Cafe is such a quaint and delicious breakfast spot. The Sunset Cruise on the catamaran was delightful. Next time we visit we will be sure to stay closer to town so we can walk instead of Uber. The ferry to Fort Sumter was really nice as well. Every single person that we encountered during our stay was super nice.

Overpriced city, it was not much to do there, overcrowed during long weekend. There is a decent USS museum - make sure to have about 5 hours to cover most of it. Most restaurants even those which are named as Fish restaurants might have no fish entrees. Prices for seafood are about $30-40 per enteree.
We really enjoyed our time at the Andrew Pinckney Inn! Our room was beautiful and clean. The bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious and we had a beautiful view as we ate. Every staff member we encountered was kind, courteous, and helpful. The valet parking was worth the price and always fast. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking to many places. When we did need our car, the valet was really nice. Overall, we could not have asked for a better stay in downtown Charleston!
Fantastic hotel with an even better staff! The perfect blend of elegance and comfort. Thoughtful details throughout such as arrival cocktails and nice beverages & snacks in the room & Dyson hair dryers. The rooms were as comfortable as they were beautiful. We loved the location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The breakfast included was excellent as well. We’ve found our new favorite hotel downtown Charleston!
The staff were extremely hospitable and courteous. The room and other hotel facilities were exceptionally clean and smelled nice (most important aspect to us as we were traveling with an infant). Room was quite spacious and our king bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve ever experienced (a very pleasant surprise). Location was just off the highway - so very easy for us to get between downtown and North Charleston.
On reflection I would not stay in Charleston, rather I would stay somewhere outside the old Downtown area, where it's cheeper - $18 for a sandwich, and $8 for bad coffee.
Drive in, enjoy the historic area, drive out again for some sanity.
It's beautiful, charming, and everything I was expecting from Charleston; I loved the architecture and understand why it's such a destination.
We really loved the hotel. The complimentary wine&cheese and milk & cookies tastings were really nice along with icecubes and chocolate to the room in the evening. It had a nice backyard with lovely flowers were you could enjoy a glass of wine. The hotel is located in the old part of Charleston and right next to the market.
Parking was available and easy to use.
Near the freeway to go to downtown Charleston.
Staff were usually nice and helpful
Breakfast was included and was good for a continental one. Fridge was great to put my daughters bottles in.
Checking in and out were easy.
The room itself was nice.
The hotel is superb. Very friendly staff, great location in the middle of Charleston. The room was incredibly spacious, clean and stylish. The lobby, cafe and restaurant are always buzzing, a very cool and happening place to be. The valet was also very friendly and helpful.
Really nice place, a lot closer to downtown Charleston than anticipated because the main road is just there and it's an easy drive. Was not expecting much but was agreably surprised by the quality of the hotel. Sol restaurant just in front was great too!
e easy access to historic district with free dash bus stopping right next to hotel . luggage storage provided. nearby grocery store. lovely bed with great pillows. Pool( noticed pool hoist) + fitnesscentre + Ice close to our room on 3rd floor
The location of this hotel is incredible- literally across the street from the downtown Charleston market. Less than 1 block from SNOB. The staff are great. The room - awesome. Best hotel bathroom I’ve experienced!!
Our room was very comfortable, though so near the pool, it was sometimes loud. The location of the hotel is perfect for heading towards downtown Charleston or James Island & for heading into Mt. Pleasant.
We were impressed, hotel is super clean and personal is so friendly, very convenient location in downtown of Charleston but it was quiet, breakfast was also very good!
Highly recommend that hotel!
fairly price rate (less expensive) Vs. other hotels downtown.
it was clean in the room
comparing to a similar price in Switzerland, the service and quality is way below!!
Beautiful, clean home. Very comfortable and an easy drive to downtown Charleston. Perfect for our stay and much more affordable than most hotels in the area.
