We always loved coming to bay city until this latest trip.
We always loved coming to bay city until this latest trip. Now 2 bridges are toll bridges and it cost $35 to park our boat to go to the carnival. If going by car it's $25 to park. That's ridiculous!

Beautiful town!
Beautiful town! Great nature walks with family at State Park nearby. Awesome dinner at Red Lobster and then movie theater within walking of hotel! Came back two years in a row to same hotel and will continue the tradition! Friendly staff and locals.

Bay City is a great town.
Bay City is a great town. It has many historic buildings and it's a beautiful area with the Saginaw river flowing right through downtown. They have great food and nightlife there, one of the best and largest thrift stores in the country, it's easy to navigate around and it's right off the expressway.

I really liked what I saw of Bay City.
I really liked what I saw of Bay City. It seemed easy to drive in. The ship museum on the Saginaw was interesting . The walking pathway on the river was great.
I liked the Quality Inn. It was clean and centrally located. The free breakfast was fine with a basic selection. The kids traveling with us liked the indoor pool.

The room and furniture smelled like sewage.
The room and furniture smelled like sewage. The place was filthy and there were strange men hanging around at all hours of the day . Hotel is in poor condition. The sheets and towels were stained and shabby.

Bay City is an old town that has updated it's buildings,...
Bay City is an old town that has updated it's buildings, closed off main street for patio dining, and has several breweries, pubs, and restaurants. It is located on the Saginaw River and Bay with lots of boats and water views.
The Double Tree hotel has a beautiful location on the water next to a park often filled with music. It is within walkable distance from downtown.
Breakfast was great and the hotel was very nice. Did have one towel in the bathroom that was not clean at all- unsure how it ended up being put in a clean room, but it was pretty gross. I would not say this is “riverfront”. It is surrounded by roads on all sides. If you’re looking to be close to the river, there are better options with similar price range. The pool was very warm and nice and our family really enjoyed it
The hotel was very clean and spacious. There were some cute shops and restaurants nearby. There is also a nice little outdoor patio area just outside the lobby that was just lovely!
You have to call for housekeeping, so that's kind of nice because you don't have to worry about them knocking or walking in on you. But, you have to remember to request what you need.
Loved the Bistro Bar, and the bartender was very nice!
Breakfast was wonderful! Loved the choices! Location of the hotel was great & staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was the cleanest that I've ever experienced in a hotel, as well as the overall hotel experience! I will definitely book with them again!
The hotel was clean. The staff was great. We decided to extend our stay for another night, but ended up with car trouble that morning and had to head home instead. The staff was very helpful and greatly appreciated. We will stay here again in the future.
staff and room exceded expectations. was amazed when i opened room have paid 3 times more for a room like we had. would recomend to any one needing a room in Bay city. dont judge by outside appearace as they are not finished whth renovating.
We enjoyed our stay found the location to be perfect.
Although it’s located above a pub, we were surprised that it wasn’t more noisy. It was all good.
