Lovely ocean front property on two levels - ground (upper rooms) and lower level. There is access to a small pool and a sheltered cove via a stairway. Great little balconies overlooking the ocean, with a walkway to a nearby children’s play park and neighbourhood sea front walk. Car parking is at the door, making the management of luggage really easy. The hotel is contemporary in style and immaculately kept. Our room was large and really well equipped. The staff are exceptional. Their communication approach is way beyond expectations. They text regularly with updates and respond really promptly to any requests. It is a highly personalised approach, and while staff must be asked the same questions many times, they respond to questions in a very helpful and informative way. The complimentary breakfast was great for our needs - juices, yogurt, eggs, porridge, toast etc. There are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance. We also enjoyed walking into Pismo, but we like a longer walk!! We would return in a heartbeat! Thank you to all the team at the Inn the the Cove!

Avila La Fonda is a true gem on the West Coast.
Avila La Fonda is a true gem on the West Coast. From the moment we arrived to the moment we reluctantly checked out, we were enveloped in a haven of comfort and warm hospitality.
The accommodations at Avila La Fonda were fabulous. Our suite was beautifully decorated and the complimentary wine and delicious homemade pie created an inviting and cozy atmosphere that made it difficult to leave.
I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and rejuvenating getaway. We only planned for one overnight stay in our 3 week road trip but in hindsight we'd plan to stay longer next time!

Cute and quaint lil beach town.
Cute and quaint lil beach town. Away from crowded streets and main highways. Everything is within walking distance from hotels. Plenty of places to eat and shop along the beach. We saw some seals by the marina. When we arrived Friday afternoon they were having their Friday Farmers market with lots of vendors and live music. We picked up some farm fresh eggs from a local, strawberries and candles.
Beautiful quirky hotel right on the sea. Loads of street parking, and also can park within hotel premises. Excellent location, 2 minute walk to local bars restaurants and beach front. Easy access of highway.
Easy going and relaxed hotel vibe, very enjoyable stay. Roof top terrace for breakfast and late evening is amazing. Very clean room and comfy beds etc.
good location in the the little Avila Beach village - on the front road with ocean views. a nice sundeck is available, with views over the ocean and bay, with comfortable lounge style seats and and gas fires. a place to meet nice poeple. And they offer nice breakfast with real coffee, and a nightly "pi time" session with free homemade pie.
It’s hard for o find an hotel nowadays that doesn’t charge you for every little thing. Here is quite the opposite. Breakfast was not included but they gave us one little basic breakfast basket anyways. So, it’s sweet when you see a business that’s not all about money! This is one is really an exception! We’ll be returning for sure!
Loved the location just on Avila beach! The venue itself is very cute and authentic and the small beach town Avila is adorable. Staff is friendly and kind. Clean room and a comfy bed! Owners offered free local pie and ice cream in the evening. Great breakfast view from the roof terrace and tasty coffee.
The breakfast was exceptional. It is served in a Cafe style restaurant on the hotel's roof top patio with wonderful views of the beach. Choices of dishes, lovely pastries, Expresso coffee drinks, fresh fruit all wonderful.
Also loved the pie and ice cream available from 7 to 8 PM in the lobby.
I loved my room with private jacuzzi tub overlooking the creek and walking path outside. The bathroom was clean and spacious. There was a coffee and tea cart available for guests which was a plus. The club located next to the hotel has a sauna that guests are able to enjoy as well
We thought we were booking an ordinary hotel room, but in fact it was a resort, so it included a pool, jacuzzi, table tennis, foosball, gym, business center, etc. We booked a room with two queen beds. The price was quite reasonable considering what we received.
Location is right in the middle of Avila Beach and right across from the beach. Easy to walk to different restaurants and stores. Quiet in the evening. Great bartenders at the Custom House and wonderful meals at Blue Moon. Look froward to going back.
Well-equipped, comfortable beds, plenty of space for two couples staying for the weekend! The view from the roof was a nice touch and everything in Avila beach is walking distance. We had plenty of towels and kitchen supplies too.
Excellent location, not overly crowded beach, and very close to biking and hiking trails. Great restaurants in walking distance and a short drive to Pismo downtown and the sand dunes. Will definitely be returning.
We always have a wonderful time, between playing pickle ball and going in the hot tub at the resort next door to riding bikes to Avila Beach on the Bob Jones Trail. It’s so fun and freeing to our souls!
Avila Beach is a sleepy little beach town. No crowds and plenty of beach. The property is centrally located and offers private patios as well as public areas for relaxing. A perfect place to wind down.
The location is exceptional. The facilities are excellent, comfortable, and modern. VERY pet friendly. In fact, the whole town is pet friendly. Dogs can run on the beach without a leash...
