Always too busy! Google didn't give option of avoiding toll to get to airport hotel during non-rush hour travel time. Toll travel bites when it can be easily avoided...especially rude for low income travelers. Lincoln was crying 😢 😭 😫 because we squeezed him so tight! Let's get back to realistic prices!

I enjoyed the 2 days that I was there.
I enjoyed the 2 days that I was there. I enjoyed the Military Museum. Downtown was great for sightseeing. P. Terry’s was the nastiest burger place ever. If you can’t read the GPS then you will get lost in Austin. The roads are the worst. The best time to travel is in the morning.

Austin is one of our favorite cities for music and food.
Austin is one of our favorite cities for music and food. The small juke joints (Continental Club, C-Boys, Skylark, Saxon Pub) offer amazing talent and we enjoyed music every night. As East-Coasters, we thoroughly enjoyed the Tex-Mex fare. In fact, every meal of every ethnicity (and there are lots to be had) was amazing. Easy walkability. The SOCO are south of the Colorado offered great shopping. The area was beautiful and the trees still had orange and yellow leaves, especially around the rivers. Lovely! And, Austin City Limits is a fabulous concert venue, not a single bad seat in the house, and wonderful art photography with history of musicians.

The weather in December was perfect for walking, hiking, biking and for exploring the amazing food. We did a taco crawl to 5 taco trucks all of which were excellent, waited in line for 3 hours for Franklin's Barbecue which was amazing and enjoyed walking along the river and around the city.

Great walkable city though Rainey Street is pretty far (couple of miles) from downtown and that area is limited by I-35 on the east.
Staying in the Rainey Street area and using ride share transportation is a great way to move between neighborhoods at a reasonable price...then walking there.
Don't miss Franklins BBQ brisket...lunch only get there early and expect a wait that is worth it.
Staff was extremely friendly even accommodating an early check-in and late check-out. There were a couple of different restaurants in the hotel each with amazing food and great service. The hotel itself is located within walking distance to several shops and restaurants around the downtown Austin area so there's always someplace to explore. My Room was on the top floor and had fantastic views of the city, and once you figured out the new elevator system getting to the top floor with limited stops was pretty easy.
We loved our stay at the Tommie! The staff was incredibly welcoming and the hotel was designed to a t. The only thing I will say is rooms are a bit small - vanity specifically. And there's no complimentary coffee, but a great coffee bar on site. Pool area was gorgeous and the food was fantastic. The Tommie was accommodating with late check out and holding our bags for the day. Location cant be beat if you want something more central- i.e. not that far from Congress, East Austin, Downtown, etc. Would recommend!
Great breakfast, staff was super helpful and welcoming - when I forgot my toothbrush they gave me a toiletry kit (with toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash!) which was awesome. Comfy beds, centrally located a few blocks from walking trails on the river, easy access to convention center, downtown restaurants/bars. Nice room with sitting area, perfect for friends traveling together. Spacious, quiet, safe. Easy access to paid parking lot a few blocks away which was cheaper than hotel parking.
The hotel is right on the back of Rainey St. which means the location is perfect to walk all over downtown Austin (if you enjoy walking, of course)! The staff was very friendly when we arrived, and our rooms were ready for us. There is breakfast available - nothing fancy - and hot beverages are available 24/7 (we really enjoyed a nice cup of tea at 3am after walking in the rain).
This hotel was good for the price! Ample parking for no additional cost was a big benefit for a location so close to downtown. Uber to 4th street was only about $15 even at peak times. It’s definitely no frills but it was clean and had the amenities needed for a quick weekend trip. Check in staff was very friendly and helpful!
Location wise I think the hotel was in an okay spot, not too far from downtown Austin.
The room was fairly basic and the beds were okay for a few nights stay.
Breakfast is basic but we didn’t mind that and appreciated the small bite. There was a toaster, microwave and waffle maker along with coffee and juices.
Great overall feel to the property. I loved the natural light, the decor and setup of the hotel. comfy bed and nice shower. It was also in a great location if you want to visit Barton Springs, Downtown Austin and SoCo, it’s very easy to access all of them by short drive or walk depending how far you like walking for.
The price was cheaper than other hotels in the area. If Austin gets its act together and takes care of the homeless issue then the location of this hotel will actually be great. The staff is very friendly. I really enjoyed their presence. I like the security measures upon entering the lobby.
The hotel was centerally located in Austin downtown which made it easier for us to get to the locations we needed in a timely matter. The staff was very professional, helpful and nice. The staff's attitude was awesome made the stay at Aloft even nicer. The room was very clean and comfortable.
The room was clean and comfortable with a lot of space, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the location was great for accessing downtown Austin. Conveniently next door to a Circle K fuel station if you need to pick any extra bits for your room! Plenty of parking onsite.
bed was really comfortable. Decent location next to loads of bars and restaurants! With a 35 minute walk into downtown austin. Little christmas bar on location was really good and i like how there is a barbers next door.
It's a room to stay that's close to Downtown... Don't expect much. Rough croud that you will share the hotel with... Seriously, if you come with family don't be cheap like me, pay for more and don't do this...
A comfortable spot in a location excellent for accessing by foot all the action on 6th Street, both in East Austin and downtown. Easy to gain entry to the place, and the room was clean and well-equipped.
The location of the hotel is not to far from Downtown Austin. I really enjoyed the stay. Everything is really close to the hotel. There is a lot of shopping centers near by and it is a really nice area.
Great hotel when visiting Austin. Close to Texas Capitol. 10 minutes away from nightlife street. All the bars and restaurants are there. Very quiet very clean
