Home to the world’s busiest airport and a vibrant arts scene, Atlanta has an important role in US history. The gateway to the American South, it is the home of the barbecue and hundreds of peach trees that make it a surprisingly green city.
Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is the main arrival point, and Booking.com has an excellent range of Atlanta hotels near the airport. However, the main sights are clustered around Downtown. Near the gold-domed Georgia State Capitol is Underground Atlanta, a shopping centre in the old underground railway.
Just north are a few hotels near Georgia Dome, a huge sports venue, and to its north-east is Centennial Olympic Park, commemorating the 1996 Olympic Games. On one edge of this park are the CNN headquarters which offer behind-the-scenes tours. Opposite is the New World of Coca-Cola where you can sample all their worldwide products. Next door is the massive Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest indoor aquarium.
In the Auburn district is Martin Luther King’s former home and church, and a museum dedicated to him and the Civil Rights movement. A few blocks south in Grant Park is the city zoo, and the Atlanta Cyclorama and museum, detailing the city’s Civil War battles.
More national history is in the Carter Center, and the former home of Margaret Mitchell, author of ‘Gone with the Wind’.
I was blessed to fine this hotel. I originally had a reservation at Holiday Inn Express and my reservation was canceled which left my daughter and and myself with a hotel. I looked and found Sonesta and booked the hotel. I was placed in a beautiful double bed room and this was after midnight. My daughter and I flew in for her powerlifting competition. The next morning I was happy to meet the Mangement who assured me my daughter and myself was welcome in his hotel and would properly be taking care of. So nests will always be my choice of hotels when I come to Atlanta!

To arrive to the hotel from the airport is a real odisea...no one tells you how to do it. You have to catch a bus that takes you to another buse stop, where you can take the one for your hotel.
It is complicate to undestand, mostly when you do not dominate the language.

I was there for a festival, so I didn't get to go explore the city. But from what I experienced so far I liked it. I thought the people at the stores that I visited and the hotel are very friendly. I would definitely come back again to get the full experience.

Atlanta has such a variety of crowds and entertainment.
Atlanta has such a variety of crowds and entertainment. Just when you think you've found your vieb for the night, something else calls your attention and you have a whole new experience to live. 3 days and 2 nights were not enough, my next trip will be a full week. Oh and the food? Argue with your momma, not me, some of the best food I've had here in America.

A bustling city with tons to offer travelers of all kinds.
A bustling city with tons to offer travelers of all kinds. Food options are endless and a plethora of entertainment options await.
I enjoyed the Peachtree Center for its expansive food court and indoor shopping options. I loved my meals at CUTS Steakhouse and Hard Rock Cafe.
Walking around the city alone at night is not recommended. Next time I will stay closer to where I need to be for work to avoid this issue. Ubers are everywhere so that made getting around easy.
-the hotel was located in a nice area of Atlanta in mid-town, and was most economical compared to other hotels in the area - close to arts and cultural activities - and very close to a metro stop - we took the metro right from the airport to the stop near the hotel - there was a small fridge in the room, and as there was not breakfast included, we were able to pick up some juice and muffins from the nearby grocery store, to have in the morning, and beverages and snacks for the evenings
Due to unusual circumstances, we took a taxi from the International terminal. The fare should have been about $7. When we arrived at the hotel, the driver said we owed $30. That is the flat rate to downtown, and I knew we weren't anywhere near downtown. I went inside and told the woman behind the counter, She came out and told the driver that she knew he was trying to cheat us. He quickly got in his taxi and drove away without any payment. Thank you!
Location - The property is located 2 mins drive away from supermarket, on a quiet street and we had private parking behind the house.
Facilities - The room had an ensuite bathroom and a small kitchenette (microwave, sink).
Bed was comfortable and we were only 10 mins drive away from downtown Atlanta (Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola etc.)
The flat was located in a good position close to the downtown of Atlanta, 10 minutes walk. It was easy to access from the airport and was found very clean. The flat is spacious and filled with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend for going to Atlanta.
we were going to a concert at coca cola roxy. we booked this hotel not knowing all we had to walk out the back door and we were there! will be staying at the omni for every future atlanta trip. enjoyed this much more than the ritz or the westin and it was much cheaper
We had to transit through Atlanta to our final destination and were looking for a hotel. The place is clean and the bed is comfortable. There were good amenities in the room like a microwave and fridge but things like a hairdryer and water were missing.
The only good thing about this accomodation was that it was cheap and I could book it last-minute. I had high expectations going into it from Econo Lodge Rome (Rome, GA), but it's safe to say Econo Lodge Airport (Atlanta, GA) was a completely let down.
Convenient to the downtown area, although our main goal was to visit Georgia Tech, but it was a close drive. They have an onsite parking. Close to restaurants. We have a kitchenette in our room which is a plus, especially equipped with a dishwasher.
I appreciate it the atmosphere as well as the exceptional service I received throughout my conversations with staff. The entire building and the design of the room was passed my expectations my daughter and I enjoyed our first visit in Atlanta Georgia
I love the size of room-it was like a mini apartment. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is close to the airport and around 20 minute drive from downtown Atlanta.
The Hampton Inn is close restaurants and gas stations.
Great location. Close to Atlanta Aquarium where we went. Our room is nice and clean. We have the balcony where we can see downtown,CNN and Centennial Olympic Park. Check in process is fast. Staff is great.
We chose the hotel primerily because of the location. The metro station is around the corner, so getting to the airport with the luggage was quite easy. All other downtown locations are 15 min walk away.
Proximity to airtrain made this an ideal location to stay prior to our early AM flight out of Atlanta. Fairly expensive bed though for a short stay, however nicely appointed and quiet hotel rooms.
They have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The price was cheaper than most placed near downtown. But it's not worth it if you're planning on staying for comfort. Parking free tho.
The hotel
Is at a great location, near airport, 20 min from downtown Atlanta and access to all highways 1 block away. A bunch of different Restaurants across the street. Breakfast was ok
