Home to the world’s busiest airport and a vibrant arts scene, Atlanta has an important role in US history. The gateway to the American South, it is the home of the barbecue and hundreds of peach trees that make it a surprisingly green city.
Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is the main arrival point, and Booking.com has an excellent range of Atlanta hotels near the airport. However, the main sights are clustered around Downtown. Near the gold-domed Georgia State Capitol is Underground Atlanta, a shopping centre in the old underground railway.
Just north are a few hotels near Georgia Dome, a huge sports venue, and to its north-east is Centennial Olympic Park, commemorating the 1996 Olympic Games. On one edge of this park are the CNN headquarters which offer behind-the-scenes tours. Opposite is the New World of Coca-Cola where you can sample all their worldwide products. Next door is the massive Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest indoor aquarium.
In the Auburn district is Martin Luther King’s former home and church, and a museum dedicated to him and the Civil Rights movement. A few blocks south in Grant Park is the city zoo, and the Atlanta Cyclorama and museum, detailing the city’s Civil War battles.
More national history is in the Carter Center, and the former home of Margaret Mitchell, author of ‘Gone with the Wind’.

I was there for a festival, so I didn't get to go explore the city. But from what I experienced so far I liked it. I thought the people at the stores that I visited and the hotel are very friendly. I would definitely come back again to get the full experience.

Atlanta has such a variety of crowds and entertainment.
Atlanta has such a variety of crowds and entertainment. Just when you think you've found your vieb for the night, something else calls your attention and you have a whole new experience to live. 3 days and 2 nights were not enough, my next trip will be a full week. Oh and the food? Argue with your momma, not me, some of the best food I've had here in America.

A bustling city with tons to offer travelers of all kinds.
A bustling city with tons to offer travelers of all kinds. Food options are endless and a plethora of entertainment options await.
I enjoyed the Peachtree Center for its expansive food court and indoor shopping options. I loved my meals at CUTS Steakhouse and Hard Rock Cafe.
Walking around the city alone at night is not recommended. Next time I will stay closer to where I need to be for work to avoid this issue. Ubers are everywhere so that made getting around easy.

When we got there at the front of the hotel, you have to ask valet to park your car or self park in the garage, the valet person gave us the code to the gate to self park in the garage. The garage was cluttered with hotel property from renovations in some of the parking spaces. There are elevators to take you to the main floor to check in after 4 pm. The layout of the hotel is easy to find the elevator to your room. Once in the room the bed was made up nice, there were no trash bags in the cans, there was some damage to the bathroom bottom of the door, . Later that evening when we came back to the hotel we were locked out of our room and I went to the front check in desk. They said we did not know who was staying in the room. They asked for my credit card And I showed them that I was already charged for a room and did not give it to them. I was give 2 new access card keys . Once up at the room security was there and our new keys worked. All in all the room was nice. Checking out was easy , I did have to cancel my credit card after staying there. There was a unauthorized charge of $265.15 on my credit card charged by the embassy suites by Hilton in Buckhead. I called the billing office at the hotel and the staff/she asked if I had cancelled my stay(I did not cancel ) she said she would get with a manager and call me back. Never called back. The fraudulent charge is still there.

I have lived in Atlanta and been traveling there in and out for 40 years. It has some charms - some good dining and nightlife. Overall, it's a car city that is frustrating and makes it rather cold.

I loved the amount of different places and things to do in the Atlanta area. The view of the city was incredible from our fifth floor room window at the Embassy Suites hotel. The only difficult thing is the traffic from traveling place to place is very challenging.
Location is relatively near airport although as we arrived at night, we took a $35 taxi from the International Terminal rather than shuttle bus to Domestic, sky train to Airport Station and then the MARTA to college park. Taxi driver was a maniac - he was lucky my airline meal didn’t end up on the floor of his taxi! The hotel shuttle driver the next morning was the nicest member of staff we encountered - genuinely friendly and helpful. Front desk staff were polite but austere.
This a high quality hotel nicely located next to Georgia Tech. The staff was very friendly at checkin/checkout and throughout my 3-day stay. My room was quiet (view on courtyard), comfortable, and excellent for working (large desk + light + good chair). The free internet is of sufficiently high quality (GT net + eduroam) for online meetings. Breakfast is well organised and of good quality; room service diner was also great.
Overall everything was nice. Staff was great, and everything was very clean and comfortable. Best two nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. The AG restaurant was excellent with excellent service. location was great, within short walking distance from many of downtown Atlanta’s features. I’m particular my trip included a show at the Masquerade, short 10min walk from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
Location, location, location. My room had a city view so I could see the centennial park, eye of Atlanta, CNN Center from the comfort of my bed. It was superb!
Almost everything worth seeing in downtown Atlanta is walking distance.
The interior design of the hotel is picture-perfect.
The breakfast was good and the assisted buffet was practical for COVID times.
Friendly staff all-around.
The hotel was extremely busy being downtown Atlanta. It was a huge hotel with over 30+ floors. Very clean. My room smelt absolutely divine each time I walked in. If they let u pick your floor, ask for the 30th floor so that Ms. Pandora can clean your room. She was SO nice & friendly. She cleaned our rooms each day & made sure we had everything that we needed.
Excellent location for exploring midtown, huge park and shopping nearby, including very good food mall adjoining the hotel. Easy walk (2+ miles) to downtown attractions, bus service available if desired. Room furniture was a little strange: no large dresser for clothes. Would definitely stay here again.
A convenient location. Wonderful breakfast easy check-in and check-out. There is a cheaper parking right across the street. We found a spot for free right behind the hotel
The front desk personnel was excellent. If we are ever in Atlanta again, we'll stay here for sure
The location was good but we didn't feel particularly safe in the whole city. The hotel is old and needs an update but the staff were friendly. It was cheap but probably wouldn't stay there again. Vending machine had cold drinks at a reasonable price.
The location of the apartment is very good, being very near among the few things to see in Atlanta (Aquarium and World of Coca Cola...both highly recommended), it's also right between downtown and midtown and close to the subway.
Great customer service, clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Convenient to shopping, downtown Atlanta, safe and beautiful Sandy Springs area. Interstate access was nearby. Sandy Springs has a great selection of restaurants.
The value of the hotel as it is situated in downtown Atlanta was great. The decor throughout the hotel and the in the rooms was aesthetically pleasing. The beds were so comfortable.
The hotel was centrally located in downtown Atlanta, and a quick ride to and from the airport. Bed was super comfy, room was spacious, and the shower was nice.
Really lovely period property. It was eqipped with everything you could think of & more. Situated in a leafy suburd within easy reach of downtown Atlanta
