Norblad Hotel, hotel in Astoria, Oregon

Norblad Hotel is a historic 90-year-old building located in Astoria, less than 5 minutes' walk from the restaurants and shops lining the Astoria Riverwalk. Free WiFi access is available.

Everything. Friendly staff. Incredibly clean facilities, bedding, linens, even the carpets on the hallways/stairs were in great shape. Staff was very friendly. Perfect location, in the middle of the the breweries, right in the middleof town. Charming boutique retro feel, but everything seemd updated as far as cleanliness and style. Rooms were clean, cozy and each had there own sink and robes to wear when going to the shower. Great value for your money. Never had an issue using the shared bathrooms/showers, and they were some of the best maintained of most of the hotels I've stayed at. The kitchen was well equipped, modern and very clean. I'd consider it a luxury hostel with private rooms. Wished we stayed longer. 100% would recommended if this is your vibe.

The food trucks are on 13th and are great for a quick meal. Astoria is such a lovely walkable city. The streets are numbered one direction and alphabetical the other direction! I never got lost!!! I enjoyed the Japanese Sushi restaurant Torah. I like the burgers at Fort George and the steamed clams at Buoy Beer. I've done the Underground Tour several times!!! Be sure you check to see what entertainment is happening in town -- there is a lot!

We decided to do a touristy weekend, came over form Portland. We found the perfect breakfast spot, very inexpensive and SO good! The Riverwalk Restaurant, the biscuits and gravy are to die for. Our favorite seafood place is South Bay Wild Fish House. We love walking the streets and going into all the groovy little shops. Took the Underground Tour this time which was so fun! Visited the Astoria Column which was so interesting and the scenery from the ground and the top of the column was breathtaking. The climb up the column had me out of breath so caution if you have medical issues or are just plain out of shape like me. My grandson and I went bowling at Lower Columbia Bowl when a beachside fire was out of the question for grandpa lol . Had a blast! We love Astoria!!

Love the antique and unique shops on Commercial in downtown Astoria. Toured the Flavel House, which I definitely recommend. Found a funky sportsbar called the MerryTime which serves giant juicy burgers. Love the sound of the seals and the maritime feel of Astoria.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do.

Astoria is a busy place, lots to do. We went down to spend time with young grandchildren and took a good friend and his son. Booking.com advertises This motel at $60 a night and it was $175 a night so we could not stay as long as we would have liked. I think misrepresentation like this is a crime and I felt cheated.. The motel blamed the price change on Booking.com.

The breakfast met all of my benchmarks for a hotel breakfast. The ham was bad. I had to throw it away. But, I love the bisquits and gravy format. I make a waffle and add gravy and egg on top. I should have used the hardboiled eggs which are a must for this dish but I got lazy and regr egged it. The fake eggs were a no also. but, The basics were there, along with fresh fruit, yogurt oatmeal cereal and juice. I would come back. We really apreciated our early check in.

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here, and this is now our go-to place in Astoria. The rooms are small but there are plenty of facilities here to take advantage of, such as a communal fridge and kitchenette, plus a large sitting area with tables and board games. Everything in downtown Astoria is within easy walking distance. And with room prices in Astoria as high as they are now, this place is a real bargain. We will be staying again!

I love this hotel and book for special occasions, birthdays, and anaverys. The staff is always helping and kind to us and makes us feel special when we arrive. The room is always clean and beautiful. A short walk upstairs, and you'll be on the roof looking at all of Astoria beautiful views. This hotel is walking distance to everything downtown. A bunch of Brewery's my favorite Fort George. Breakfast in the morning.

The room we had was in an old Victorian home turned into a “hotel room”. Our Rome was on the south side and so we did not have a view of downtown Astoria or the Columbia River. There was no air conditioning, one window did open so we could get some air. The second night the temp outside stayed warm, so there was no cooling down. Everything worked and was clean.

Such a lovely, welcoming space! Parker Landing was the perfect place for a getaway in Astoria. We were in Stateroom #2. The property is right on the water and we loved waking up to the views. Comfortable living areas, quiet surroundings, modern appliances, and well equipped kitchen. The hosts were responsive to questions and provided a truly relaxing retreat.

The motel is right off the main highway, and regardless of the room you get, there will be traffic noise. However, our room, with a kitchenette, also had a few of the Columbia River, which was nice. The motel is also located in a part of town, which makes it easy to drive to a lot of places, and is only a 10-15 minute walk to most parts of Astoria.

The building and the room have an incredible charm! They did a very good job in keeping the style of the time through the decor as well. They added useful features like a minibar with a coffee machine and minifridge. I would definitely stay there again if we pass through Astoria.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and the breakfast was actually quite good! The pool and hot tub were nice. Overall, just a nice hotel sort of tucked away off the main road in Astoria. Also, as compared to some of the other "similar" hotels, their rates were the best!
